Help! 6/18 Mpls. concert -- Need photos and info! Hi fellow Purple Hippies! I attended the 6/18 Prince show (and wanted 2 post this message the day of the concert, but there's a 5 day waiting rule) in Minneapolis/St. Paul and have written what I *think* is the longest review of a Prince concert yet (it's up 2 3,502 words, and hasn't even reached the acoustic set)! The full article will be easily over 5,000 words. I provide a lot of info. regarding the Minnesota/Minneapolis/St. Paul scene, b4 even getting into the concert (which was the best show I've witnessed). What I need, being that my camera was taken from me by a nasty security guard, are some photos of the 6/18 show. Does any1 have them? I will give u full credit (first and last name, if u want it) for the shots and may begin singing Alphabet St. to perfect strangers! Also, b4 I put the article online, I'd appreciate it if a fellow Prince fan -- one that attended the Friday (6/18) Mpls/St. Paul show -- would make sure I have all my info. correct. I was 2 busy dancing my ass off 2 take any notes. But my memory's pretty good, and I think I have most of it. Get back 2 me! If u have the photos (6/18, Excel, only, please) email me at alex@juicycerebellum.com Or post them here! I'm replying 2 this post, cuz I'm feeling so lonely, with no1 responding, that I have 2 at least make myself look semi-popular, even if I fail like that Wonderfalls series.
Some1, besides me, had 2 of attended the 6/18 show, right? Any1? Remember, if you have any photos (of that show) send 'em to alex@juicycerebellum.com and, if you want it, you'll get full credit (photo courtesy of blah blahblah type thing)! C'mon guys and gals, didn't ANY1 snap a few pics of the 6/18 show (Friday night, at Xcel Energy Center)? If u DON'T want credit, for whatever reason, I will gladly keep your name anonoymous. I really hoped 4 some pictures, to go along with my article. It's a nice history of the Minneapolis scene (LOTS about First Ave.), but it would go down so much smoother with a few pics of the ultimate tour -- Musicology! Again, email me at alex@juicycerebellum.com, or post them here. If u want credit, u'll get it. If you want to remain anonymous, I promise to keep my trap shut. If u have some pics and DON'T want them used in the article/review, that's fine, but could u at least be kind enough to send them my way? I really want some pictures from the show. I had the time of my life (as did the other 19,999 people in the audience). Peace & Luv, AleXXX | |

yeah, I was at that show. I really liked the crazy version of When Doves Cry he did. I thought that was one of the coolest renditions I had ever heard.
I also really enjoyed hearing Controversy and DMSR. Those songs were so funky, and I danced so hard I STILL hurt from it. Yeah, the acoustic set was sick tight as well. The part where he was playing "cream", and he says, "you're so good, everything you do is success", then he stops and says, "you know I was lookin' in the mirror when I wrote this right? You should try it sometime!" Then he slyly runs his fingers through his hair, then continues with the rest of the song. Much respect for a man who can do that and pull it off... word, it was an excellent show. Wish I could've peeped the after party, but I was with my mom, and we had a 4 hour drive home, so we didn't get to. peace, zach [This message was edited Sat Jul 3 12:16:17 2004 by zachypoo] brickhouse boys: http://www.myspace.com/brickhouseboys
