Yeah -- nice interview. Wish he would've commented on the confusion over "Morris Day" and "The Time" -- it's a bit weird.

I got the new CD today for my b-day...the live songs are nice and the new songs are alright, but the production of the CD seems a bit weak. It's cool to have though, and the band is pretty tight!

what's with this whole "morris day and the time" thing? in my opinion, they haven't been too interesting since they were just "the time".

into the interview about 6:40, Morris is describing how he stepped up to sing for the band, rather than Alexander O'neal - "put your hand in your pocket and just be cool" . . .i noticed he said it was Prince talking to him and Jamie Starr? i thought Jamie Starr was Prince and why would Morris still be talking about this psuedo-person?

You should take another listen, I did. He said: "Prince, Jamie Starr if you will..."
He's not referring to Jamie Starr as a separate entity. Beside we all know that Jamie Starr was just a psuedonym Prince used during that time.

Unfortunately for Morris, the most interesting thing about him is his past with Prince. He's cool and all, but he knows who he has to thank for his entire career.

this is very true. as much as i love morris, we all know that if it wasn't for prince, there would be no "morris day and the time" and morris wouldn't have had a solo career, acting spotlights and so on.....

besides if the interview was just all about morris and no prince, that would have been a problem for most people because u can't talk about the time without talking about prince.

its like going to church and not talking about god....
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
