the 7/22 show really rocked. the band was tight as usual. prince looked a little tired though. I especially enjoyed when they played controversy. blackwell can really keep the back beat driving while prince and the others add layer upon layer of music.
this was the best show i have seen. prince was smart to have it in the round because it gave me a small sense of having a good seat. the crowd was kind of dry though. i guess it was all of those casual prince fans
blackwell is probably the most exciting drummer i have ever seen.
