A writer from the Sacramento Bee emailed me to tell me a date is in the works as we speak.....I tried to pump him for more info and he gave me this reply

I can't say...but in time, I will....but I've got it from two VERY close sources that it's happening. But not confirmed.

They added san jose show and the lower section has nothing left on Tic..Mas..

but the oakland show still have lower lever seats but that went on sale logn time back

Will Sacramento be receiving the royal treatment from Prince?

It appears likely Prince will come to Arco Arena in early September.


We've got more, if not definitive, news on what we can now say is the likely Prince concert at Arco Arena. While no one at Arco will confirm the show for Distractions, we have it from a couple of sources that His Purple Majesty will be performing at the arena in early September.
That jibes with the other area shows on his itinerary: Oakland on Sept. 9 and San Jose on Sept. 10. According to our sources, tickets for the Arco show, which will likely be around $75, should go on sale on June 26 at Ticketmaster locations. As soon as we know more, you will, too.
