As some of you may know, I have been trying to gets tickets to the June 21st concert in Detroit. I already had tickets for the June 20th and July 30th shows, but for some reason I felt that I needed to go to the June 21st show. I started a thread asking if anyone had an extra ticket to sell. Well, marmar responded, suggesting that I try ticketmaster because some tickets were released back to ticketmaster. I went to ticketmaster.com and wouldn't you know it, floor seat tickets were available.. I don't have a credit card, so I immediately jumped in my car and went to the nearest ticketmaster office. I went to the box office window and asked for Prince tickets. The lady told me that it was sold out. I told her that I was just online and saw that there were tickets available. She checked and the exact seat that I saw online, floor- section c-row 19-seat 10 was still available. I immediately bought the ticket. I am sooooo happy. Thank you marmar. I would have never thought that any tickets were still available, let alone floor seats. Now all I have to do is figure out a way to get on that stage...

No problem, Purple Charm. I couldn't believe the floor seats were available either, since both the Palace shows were officially sold out. I'll be going to both nites, too!
A basketball championship followed by two Prince shows?! Sounds good to me.

Now to go off topic. I love the .org. Tonight I'm feeling just absolutely awful. While I'm SO HAPPY for the Minneapolis crowd and all those able to get to the shows and the aftershows, I'm so UNHAPPY that I am not one of them. (Long story...I'll spare ya'll)

Anyway, I told my hubby and what does he say? "All the people that know you and know how you are about Prince, just don't understand why."

I come here to the .org...and I know ya'll know where I'm coming from.

Then I wound up feeling silly for even telling him about it b/c he thinks I'm nuts w/ this already I'm sitting here now pricing flights, seeing if it's at all possible for me ESPECIALLY since I missed all 3 celebrations. Don't know what you decided, but if I had the chance I'd go. I've got 13 months of school left then I'll be back on a job earning my own paycheck. Can't wait until I can fund my own trips. But that's just me. I hate the high $$ but I always find Prince to be worth it and to see him AT Paisley Park...Lordy!! But then again, don't listen to me. I'm not always the most fiscally responsible person, especially when it comes to Prince

This whole tour has the same suck ass feeling that the 80's and 90's had for me. Prince would be touring and I just could not get to the shows either due to my young age or the shows being outside the US.

And for the record...I state again, I am VERY HAPPY for all of those who've had a chance to make it to a show.
