Prince had mention That we (the fans) give ticket master the power by giving our dollars 2 see shows he said WE give them the power so eye said very loudly "but U Keep Doing Business with Them" he stopped what he was doing & came down from the stage right in the orchestra pit & me being in the 3 row eye was pretty close 2 him ..well some of the members expressed the issue about the tickets & where we were seated...prince asked us were people were seated...& we told him that all the club members are in the rows starting @ 13 & over this means in the back...Prince said really ? that’s not right ...eye also explained how the club members never had a chance 2 get tix 4 the 2nd show the the public got first dibs ..he was shocked & very Upset @ this news so he sad we have 2 fix this problem.... (well 2 make a long story short cuz eye am very tired) he is planning 2 have the members 2 have first dibs on all ticks via a will call system & ur name has 2 b on a list & u must have ID!!!

.....i let my wife handle any money in banks. but she cant go to all the shows that i will probably go to. i think will call will be great if it is in the club members name, and not the actual credit card holder.that sounds fair .....right? I am a club member but not a credit card holder. i'm not saying will cal is wrong but they need to fine tune it as not to alienate ANY OF US (PAYING MEMBERS)

The ticket thing is deffinitly a scam depending on what city you are in. I am a NPGMC member and last year for the Detroit show I got 10th row tickets. On the way to the concert I met a couple that didn't even have tickets yet and when they went to the box office, they were able to get 2nd row center stage! You can imagine my anger! But on the other side of the coin, this time around I opted for the Saginaw concert and I got front row seats! I think it's all about the venue that he is playing at. Same problem happened when he played at the State Theatre in Detroit. The main floor tickets were only available for purchase at the State Theatre box office. What kind of scam is that? There has to be a better way for members to get the great seats they deserve. The system now is clearly not working!

i'm glad that prince is doing something about the situation, but there is something about the whole thing that i find very odd...

ok, he's talking about how we give ticketmaster the power by buying the tickets from them...

unless you have the ability to go directly to the venu and buy them, there is no other way to get tickets to these shows... and even then, the ticket still has ticketmaster plastered all over it... the only difference is that you don't have to pay the convenience fee...

so, what i'm wondering is... if prince wants us to fight the powers that be, would he rather show up to do a gig and only see like 4 people sitting there...

Did anyone try to purchase tickets to the Idianapolis show?
I was not that thrilled about the seats I got during the presale, so I canceled my order. I thought maybe I would have a better chance of better seats, during the public sale. Unfortunately, that did not work out either. I tried to purchase my tickets exactly at 10am. and ticket master said: We are unable to fulfill your specific request. We may not have the type of tickets you request or the number of seats together that you are looking for. I tried to get one ticket for myself , and I know the show did not sale out that quickly. I tried a couple of hour later and got the same thing. When I read the NPG Chicago report, I realized that purchasing tickets for the presale that ticket master sales tickets starting in 13th row or not so great sections. Have anyone noticed that ticket master has a member log in account to purchase tickets? Could they be responsible for holding tickets for their members as well as the npg members? Well, as soon as I can I will call ticket master and ask what are the benefits of having a ticket master account. If it's for getting first dibs on front row seats, I think that NPG should be notified, so this nonsense will stop. NPG member should have the best seats in the house!

The member login with ticketmaster is for those who set up billing information with their online system; it's for faster sales processing, rather than any membership perq.

Get this.....

I live in Louisville, KY. I had tickets to the Chicago show.
I had to work saturday so I booked my flight on Southwest to to arrive in Chicago at 8 pm.

I got to the airport and found out because of snow my flight would not arrive until 10:45 pm bummer.....


so I have have 2 unused tickets for the 2nd row in Chi Town

Ticketmaster refuses to do anything I'm stuck with 2 tickets, rental car fees and hotel fees. The airlines of course refunded my tickets for the flight.

Sorry to all our fams that we were suppose to meet up there last night.

Ticketmaster should have something in place for such a problem
I'm not really bitchen just dissappointed.

I hope to see everybody at the Louisville show.

to further clarify, I did NOT post this on NPGMC, but someone did & I'm glad they spoke up. Even more glad that P stopped what he was doing & listened...

I think all members should use these soundchecks to voice whatever concerns they have about the NPGMC. Scream out like the Michigan fan did or pass a letter to Prince. Do something. Don't blow a golden opportunity to really influence the way the club operates because you're a bit starstruck.

That is shitty, Lou-uh-vul P Fan, sorry to hear that. But if it teaches you one important lesson, that is: Get the hell outa Louisville.

Note that the cleveland concert was handled by tickets.com and not ticketmaster - don't know if that makes any difference.

It is good to hear that Prince is aware of the problem. I hope he will come up with a swift solution!
