Am I the only one who noticed Prince's new shoes or did this come up in another thread or does no one care?

I just think it's interesting that he's not wearing the heels to these shows. I've never seen him in anything but. Now he's still matching the shoes and outfit and still looks cool and is working the moves on stage but I'm trippin' on the shoes. They look like custom made tennis shoes or nurse shoes to match the outfit.

On 3/29 at Staples he was rocking the heels but June 5 it's the new loafers. It seems like a grueling tour so I guess that's why.

Any style comments? Interesting topic? Not?

I'll be here hoping I don't get blasted with "This is the stupidest thread ever" replies.

I've been reading that he only wears the heels for the encore.

My guess is he is hurting because his hips and back have to be out of allignment from years of wearing heels. They are not really made for everyday use like he wore them for years.

I noticed that also. He did have on the "heels" temporarily.
Attribute the more "comfortable shoes" to the fact that the guy IS 46 years young.
Co-signing lovemachine, the "heels" have probably taken their toll over the years.

You shouldn't have to worry about getting branded with the "stupidest thread ever" award.

I remember at the last Celebration, Sheila told the crowd at her daytime talk that wearing heels and performing all those years really screwed up her back. I'm sure Prince is feeling the effects. He can go barefoot - I don't care.

i was so far up i couldn't see his shoes, but that did make me remember his comment about one of his band members wearing some red shoes - he said something like "LOOKIT THOSE SHOES... WHO LET A PIMP IN HERE!". i thought that was so damn funny!

I remember reading it in somebody's review (probably for an early LA show) - that he changed into those shoes. He wore them in San Jose but it seems like he only had them on for the acoustic part. I dunno, wasn't looking @ his shoes but I can tell you what he wore on dat ass

I Think those shoes are So Cute. I wish he would sell Replicas on the NPGMC site. I think Prince should even sometimes go to events with like those sneakers . Why does he have to Always wear heels if he doesn't have to? Everybody knows his height so why not be Comfortable and let people see ya without the Heels? Who Cares? It's not a Biggie to be Who U R and Comfortable. I'm realizing that People can be Cruel no matter how nice ya are so Do as ya Feel and be Happy.

are those the same shoes he wore at the ONA tour? I liked those (except for the white ones...), however i'm more used to see Bootsy Collins wearing that kind of foot-wear. Prince should put on star-shaped glasses to match with them!!!

I have seen three shows and he wore heels the whole time at all of them. I have also seen pics of these new "sneakers". It can only mean one thing.

Our boy is hurting. We all know that he would wear the heels if he could. He's worn them for years upon years and they are "his" shoes. So if he's wearing anything else I can only imagine its from discomfort on his part.

It had to happen. You can't wear those heels and jump around in them etc and not expect the body to rebel eventually.

I also don't care what he wears but it is a nice reminder that we are all mortal and human and have our limitiations. Even Prince.

He should wear even like those Flip flops and paint his Toenails Black. Prince Never wore Nail Polish ya Know. Then ya know what why not like Bunny slippers or those Wb kinda slippers? Maybe he thinks I'm talking to Fey for him but ya Know he Could do Anything and his fans and others would dig him just being a Regular Dude{guy}. I'd like to Know if Prince digs like on all kinds of Wild Sports Stuff like Waterskiing, Bungee Jumping all that. He Was Into Motorcycles. I would have loved to be his Girlfriend and Howl at the Moon with him on the back of one. I'm Kinda a Crazy Loon but I Couldn't Think of Anything Cooler than Making Love to Prince in a Sleeping Bag like in some Deserted place. And Roasting Marshmellows as we like the Yellow off of our Fingers. Ya Dig?

I can't even imagine how screwed up his feet are from all of those heels. I know MINE are!!!

After speaking with his hired help, Prince doesn't hardly wear his heels when he's not performing. Tina Turner was the same way, but she performed until she was 60 years old. The shoes Prince wear are custom made wedge heels. He has a pair in black and white. The white ones he wore during the Vegas Tiger Jam.

They are cute. I'm looking for some imitation ones (can't afford custom made). Wedges are the only heels I can wear, never learned how to walk in the stilettos.
