I never thought I would ever defend Ticketmaster, but...
Come on. I'm sure you were upset, inconvenienced and dissappointed to get ZZ Top tix when you ordered Prince. That sucked. But it is w/in the realm of normal, everyday mistakes that happen in life. Sometimes you order a Big Mac and when you drive away and open the sack they gave you a chicken sandwhich. It doesn't mean anyone was evil or dishonest. People make mistakes sometimes. We all do. However Tickemaster is a sham!! Their fee structure and monopoly are NUTS. Especially in the modern era of computers and such. Back in the day I enjoyed TM. I lived in a remote area (Wyoming) and being able to call up TM (this was the 80's) and get tickets to concerts in Salt Lake City or Denver was AWESOME. Going down to the box office was not an option (as it was 6-8-10 hours away) so TM was a Godsend. But that is the only nice thing I can say about them. Other than that they are outdated, overpriced racketeers, IMO.

ticketmassa is the most corrupt and unfair system of distributing tickets. they break all the rules of payolla in the business and keep these ticket-scalping agencies in business. i am so happy about how prince has protected his fans from the merciless system of the ticketMASSA....

Yuck ZZ Top - I would be pissed too.
Anyway, as much as I hate the whole ticketing process, i've actually been pretty happy with Ticketmaster. They always show what's best available, and i've always gotten my tix in time. I have gone through other companies (like MusicToday and some brokers) that totally ripped me off. I would rather buy from Ticketmaster than at inflated brokers' prices.

Hi folks,
you can be very happy to have ticketmaster in the U.S. imo. There is no ticket - seller in Europe that works as well as ticketmaster (only ticketmaster.uk is similar). Even if very big events like Madonna or Prince are announced, the computer - system still works perfect and you immediatly know your seat number! Because I live in Europe I always have to pick up the tickets for U.S. - shows on the day of the event. What´s the problem to do this? I never had any problems when I did this.
