Prince has become an old geezer...
No real energy, but it was better than those Hit 'N Run gigs...
Watched the show from backstage, laughed my ass off again to see all the P-fags try to get attention in the first rows...
But about the show...
All in all in thought it was pretty boring... but not as bad as I thought it would be... I'm just glad he didn't play Purple Rain, now let's hope he'll leave it it out for the whole tour... A Case Of You was pretty nice to hear again, 1+1+1=3 was cool but it started to drag... It's a great tight band, but everything they play is just overblown... like Strange Relationship for example, too many sounds for a great "raw" song, but it was nice to hear it, the little Take Me with U/Raspberry Beret shit is still in there, so nothing new there...
Adore was great, Anna Stesia was great and the band was great...
So all in all pretty dissappointed, but I'll see what 'll happen for tonight and the rest of the weeks...

And for the bootleggers it was taped by several people and I and another dude got copies of the soundboard tapes and knowing him he'll probably sell 'em off so you bootleg collectors will probably get lucky and get those... (If the bootleggers don't fuck y'all over and release the audience recording first, and then a couple a months later release the soundboard to get more money out of y'all...)

I'll try to make scans of the tourbook and put 'em up somewhere, when I get the time...

Anyway, get that great show to Europe!! Quick!

Saginaw, Oh My! What a great concert. Prince started at 8:17 and stopped just shy of 11:00! How cool it was to see him in a small theatre! I felt he was singing right to me despite being in the 20 something row on the right! He seemed kind to those he spoke with in the audience and on stage (I have seen some so called artists be so called jerks!)

Some people complained that he didn't play enough old stuff..to that I say rent Purple Rain for the weekend. I loved his set list and was so excited to hear new stuff from him as well as him "strectch" (like it is one for him!) to play Santana and Ohio Players (RollerCoaster, slowdown, SAY WHAT!!)

Being from this area, really good concerts are sometimes hard to come by if you do not want to go to Chicago. I am one appreciative fan!

Very great concert, very great artist. What a night! Thanks to my hubbie who picked up my tickets for me for Valentines Day!

Yeah, I can't wait to see this show! It sounds great. But I guess with a setlist like this, Prince better keep using small venues . For the so-called fans who are complaining that they don't know the songs... only thing I can say is if they're not up on the latest - too bad! Personally, I think it's good to see that Prince is returning to rare form. Besides, I think it's time to put some seperation between the "purple rain fans" and the true die-hard fans that will support Prince in his new endeavors from here on out. So, I think we definitely need to get the word out that this a Great Show, but not a Greatest Hits show.

For the Prince staff over at NPGMC... make sure the word gets to Prince that there are many, many fans who appreciate the new vibe on things and diggin' the new direction. Keep it real.

I think the funniest thing he said all night was when someone called a local radio station to request music that the might hear at the show, the DJ said "he did'nt have any, it was not available. Prince then said.....don't sweat it, the radio staions suck in his town, too. Yeah, here they do suck!

God damn, now I'm really jealous that the tour is only in the US! Just hearing 'Adore' live would be a dream.

This is the tour many of us wanted. Not based on hits, and a clear focus on the MUSICIAN Prince.

What did "Avalance" and "Another Star" sounded like??

Did the show had any jazz-feel, solos and stuff. I´m so exited 2 hear more reports!
He might scare away a few "fans", but I think P will win alot of good publicity, and once agian gain some respect from the music world. Stay true to himself, just like Frank Zappa did.

How long did the show run?

It sounds like no dancers which is great!

I can't wait to see this concert. It's a wonderful set list!!!!! I'm glad he's singing more of the new stuff instead of sticking with all old hits. Funny people complain, but if you go to someone elses concert they always do new stuff and a few old songs. I guess it's suppose to be different for Prince....oh well they'll get over it.

I love this set list! I wish he'd get rid of the Rasberry Beret / Take Me With You bit, but I love ALL new material. As a long-time fan who's seen him play dozens of times, I really got bored watching the same JOTY shows over and over again. In fact, the Hit N Run tour was the first time that I ever skipped going to one of his concerts... what is the point when you've heard it so many times already!

Who cares if his fair-weather fans, who have not even purchased CDs like TRC or the Truth, don't like it? I say good riddance to all of them. Please don't come back next time too, so the rest of his real fans can go.

My only hope, is that he starts putting on each ticket, "THIS SHOW WILL SHOWCASE NEW MATERIAL. BE WARNED THAT NO OLD "HITS" WILL BE PLAYED." Then people would know ahead of time, and we wouldn't have to worry about the audience pressuring him to do yet another boring rendition of Purple Rain, etc.

If he must do some old hits though, I wish he would stick to stuff that the hard-core fans will also enjoy, like SOTT, Controversy, Girls & Boys, Housequake, Dorothy Parker, etc.

I can't wait for this tour to hit my town.

This set list really doesn't impress me. It's different, but nothing special. He plays the worst songs off of TRC. Muse & Mellow? Those songs must kill the crowd. He should play Everlasting Now, Last December, She Loves Me 4 Me, and the Sensual Everafter. And I know this show is supposed to be a non "hits" show, but he should do some "hits," that aren't really too popular, like Anotherlover or Thieves in the Temple. Maybe even a song off Batman.

I'm going to the Indy show - so glad to hear he's playing new songs. I was tired of the staple concert performances.
Hopefully this will be a way for people to get turned on to the new music-- if they stop bitching about unfamiliarity and just listen.

I like the idea of "The Best Of 0)+>" CD. There were so many great 0)+> songs that are so obscure and no one may ever know how great they are. This is a fabulous idea. Maybe TGE, Emancipation, and even The Truth can finally get the exposure they deserve for select gems. GREAT, great news. Can you imagine if those classic penned in the 0)+> era just faded without due respect...

What 0)+> songs to you all think are quintessial classics that must be compiled on the Best of CD??

I live in Columbus, Ohio. Prince did the Hit & Run Tour here last June. I never thought he would come back in less that an year. We got the Hits last June in an Arena. Now we are going to get something more intimate and fresh. I am very grateful for this tour. But I think alot of "Old" out of touch fans are being lured into this show to be exposed to the music, because they dont hear it on the Radio.
I look at it as Prince promoting 2 new albums at once. I personally can't wait to hear TRC material LIVE:d
