Less Horns on Musicology tour

I'm not a real fan of all the sax and horns he has added to a lot of his hits theses days. However, when I saw him at the stales show on the 26th, the brass seemed a little less intrusive than at the musicology theatre broadcast. Has anyone else noticed this, I know Maceo is back which i'm sure makes a difference.

I saw the show in Vegas and SF in Feb, and I must say that I LOVE THE HORNS. Perhaps may favorite aspect of this NPG lineup. I want my funk with the horns right up there in the mix. Different sounds for different ears. That is why life is wonderful!! wink

The horns are great - just saw both shows in Vegas. The second night I was behind Chance and the horn players' "home base". What a great group they are - having fun and so talented. Keep the horns coming!!!!

Hornz section is amazing on this tour! Not big on forever long horn solos but Mike Phillips is incredible! And boy does he have a set of lungs!!

But isn't that the point of the tour....to show total instrumentation?
