12:01 is a blues song he did during the acoustic set. It was great. One of the lines was something along the lines of, something smells funky, is it your breath or mine? That was funny. The concert was off da chain!!! Prince never ceases to amaze me with the energy that he has. I'm still amazed by it. It was my 3rd Prince concert and definetly the best one. If you haven't gone to see him this year, RUN to get tickets. It's that good.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Oh, I didn't hear "God" being played. Maceo played "What A Wonderful World".

I definitely heard Hot Pants (tighter then James ever did) different lyrics though. The best groove that evening. My 32nd Prince show and I must say one of the 5 worst.
The sound was great the seats were great the parking was great the food was great the band is tighter then ever, but there just wasn't that little extra that can make a Prince concert so very special. sad

When he plays "Life O' The Party" live, the band plays the music to "Hot Pants," and you're right, it's damn funky.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a big Prince fan/friend.

I was at the Staples Center on the 28th and I loved the show. But there's 1 thing that dissapointed me a little.

I find they played too many old songs ! There are tons of great newer songs and I would love to ear some of them !!

What do you guys think ?
