Finally my Nashville Experience!

Picked up my NPGMC tickets early the day of the show. No drama just showed my id and bammmmm…… SECTION 10 ROW B SEATS 9 AND 10!!! I was pleased.

Got to our seats about 0630 pm. The seats were right behind Blackwell. I was like “cool” I can see John do his thing. The show started about 15-30 minutes late, but it was all good. From my section we could see P from 2 runways and the center which was great!

I managed to get a Blackwell drumstick. Thanks John!

Sorry no setlist. I cant remember a darn thing, there was too much drama!

I guess you guys know by now that I am the one that was pointed to and got P’s towel. Due to the emails I have gotten I guess I need to explain…….. When he pointed the first time, I was like “yeah right”, I smiled and kept dancing. After all we are in a crowd, maybe it was someone else. Then he came back again pointed and gave me the come here signal. It felt like I looked right into his eyes. My boss who was standing next to me was like he is talking to you. We looked around and there was no official NPG staff around. So I figured that even if I did goto the gate they wouldn’t believe me cause they didn’t see P motion me. So I just stood there and and kept enjoying the show. The clincher was when he threw the towel right at me. I was like crap, it was me. sad sad sad

And the girl, lol. I didn’t knock her down. She was coming in at an angle and I already had the towel in my hand so I just tugged the heck out of it. Plus she was trying to go across a row of seats and there was beer all over the floor. I was like dang, at least your friend got on stage, lmao. U have to remember by this time it was bitter sweet. Happy I had the towel, but disappointed that NPG staff wasn’t around to see what happened and missed a chance to get on stage. mad mad mad

Did manage to get to the after show at Rocket Town. Thanks Micheal W. Smith for the use of your facility. It is really cool! Had a great time, but just wished there were some chairs there. My feet are still killing me. At least there were some for the pregnant lady that was there. The experience was worth more than $20. Guys make sure you have some extra cash with you! I think that was the major complaint. Of course I was prepared. Wasn’t able to stay for the entire set, had to be at work that morning.

Well, that is my review and explanation. Now let’s see what happened in Memphis!!! wink wink

Sorry to hear that, whoop. I am regretting the fact I couldn't go to Rocketown. I was sick because I heard a few of my friends met Prince and all of them were asking where I was.

That girl did not have a chance. At least she got a drumstick from Blackwell. You and your people with the Tamberines looked like yall were kickin' it. What was going on in the rows behind you? It look like an arguement was going on.

I was in Section 8 row C. I was DIRECTLY behind Blackwell. Everyone here is RIGHT. HE CAN PLAY. I wish I could have seen more on Prince and the others. Oh Well I still had fun!!!

RocketTown was fun. I wish they had chairs too!!! I stayed until the end. The sound guys were terrible. The mics were in and out. I wonder where Candy was at?

I was in the blue MEMPHIS tshirt.

I am really embarrassed about the towel situation. I guess i was just in shock. You do funny things when you dont have a chance to think!! OMG we were kicking it. Shout out to Tina and Anita from Franklin (the tamberine girls!!!)

BTW I do think I remember you. I was trying to scope out the crowd. As far as the agruement, heck I dont have a clue!

I tried to stay to the end of the aftershow, but my feet were about to fall off!! It would have been cool just to sit down and groove to the music. But oh well, just glad we got an afterSHOW!

See ya in MEMPHIS!!

Hey guys wave I was at the Nashville show too. I didn't see any of the towel commotion but my husband said that some girl threw her bra onstage. Did anyone else see this ? He said that they escorted her off but she ended up standing directly behind me for a short while. I missed the whole thing.. I guess I was to busy starring at P . lol

I was at the aftershow as well. It was Great !! Yes, chairs would have been nice. My feet were practically numb from standing in 3 inch heels all night. But it was well worth the pain razz

Not as rare as you'd think. A lot of Tennesseans hold it down for Prince.

Here's a link to a Prince show that was done just today on WRVU-FM (Vanderbilt's Radio Station):

http://www.wrvu.org/schedule.html

There's a lot of talk on this, more than I expected. Sorry about that (I co-hosted the show). If you want to listen to it, point out our factual errors, etc. wink, it'll be up a few days so go ahead. It's likely the last of 6 semi-annual shows we've done since 2001.
