St. Louis Set List--Donny's Review I've seen the L.A. Simulcast and Penn State shows. I happened to be on a business trip to St. Louis, so I got to go to this one too.
This show was on par with the others and an overall great concert compared to other tours. The highlights of this show were When Doves Cry (I wish he'd do the whole song), DMSR, Sign O the Times and The Question of U. Life O the Party and Controversy dragged on just a tad too long, but the audience was into it for the most part. I'm still not into the in the round set up because by definition, he is going to have his back to you the majority of the time no matter where you sit, but it's cool. It looked like the place was sold out. Purple Rain was shorter than usual. No God Instrumental. Maceo was there. I wish he did Nothing Compares to U and Sometimes it Snows. That's about it for now. Oh yea, I guess I can tell the women and the fruity men what he had on. He opened up in an all white outfit with white platform tennis shoes. For the acoustic set he had on the red polka dot outfit that he has on in the new issue of Rolling Stone. He closed in an all red outfit for Purple Rain. Set List: Musicology Let's Go Crazy I Would Die 4 U When Doves Cry Baby I'm a Star Shhh DMSR/Beyonce tune/I Like the Way You Move I Feel for U Controversy What a Wonderful World Instrumental - Acoustic set Little Red Corvette Cream Raspberry Beret Forever in My Life After Midnight 7 Sign O' the Times Let's Work U Got the Look Question of U/The One/Falling Life O' the Party Soul Man Kiss Take Me With U - Encore Purple Rain

I guess I should thank you for the fashion rundown since I'm one of those "fruity men". How thoughtful of you to take note of his costume changes!
Are you wearing loafers?

hey! Thanks for this! Do you mean he covered Eric Clapton;s after midnight in the acoustic set? And he did forever in my life..AWESOME. I saw the Raleigh show and he threw down. Glad the Man is back. Musicology is a such a tight album, loving it more with every listen.

The after midnight song is the funny blues song about waking up next to someone with funky breath. I don't know the real name of the song.

Was this the 1st time Forever in my Life has been performed this tour? I'm thinking Prince is going to change the setlist up when he does concerts in the same city on consecutive/multiple dates.

BTW, "After Midnight" is not Eric Clapton's song, it is by JJ Cale. Eric covered the track, just like he covered JJ Cale's "Cocaine". RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...
