So no tix today then?

I don't want to piss on anyone's bonfire but I'm sure the onsale date will be widely promoted so that the concerts can sell out within a couple of hours. This is what happened with the Chili Peppers Hyde Park gig (James Brown supporting btw!), Madonna, David Bowie, etc. All the big names want to sell out right away so they can squeeze in a couple of extra dates, plus it's good for their egos.

I don't doubt your industry connections purplegiraffe, I think it's great that you are able to give us the scoop but it does look like this won't go onsale for another week or so at least. But thanks for the heads up.

It became clear today was not the day earlier in the week - the pre-sale will take place at least a few days prior to a general sale.

HOWEVER, it is well worth knowing that some sort of announcement is imminent - and i'd rather have a couple of false alarms rather than it being a complete unexpected surprise (and i have no available cash!)

In all fairness, The Giraffe DID say her source was only "99% certain" that they would go on sale today, and that she herself doubted it would be the case. If he plays Europe in October/November, I would not expect tickets to go on sale before July/August. Didn't the "ONA" European tour tickets go on sale in September?

All I'm passing on to you is the sketchy rumours/gossip/info from within the ticketing business and have made it quite clear that what I'm saying may be not be 100% accurate. I've even proved that I work within the industry with the advance info on Madonna in Manchester so to be accused of being stupid and making this up by one of the previous posts is insulting. I've been a Prince fan since 1988 and have seen him in concert 35 times from Paris to the Glasgow Garage so I'm not making anything up. I'm as big a fan as anyone reading this so Mr Shapeshifter if you think I'm lying then, well, I'm not really bothered what you think. Maybe if I had more than one eighth of a brain as you said I'd be bothered. And please don't reply as I'll just ignore it.

To everyone else reading this I say that I will most likely find out details of the tour before it's made public and I'll post details as promised if I get any more news. I'm as excited as you about the gigs!

We await on your every word wink
Thanks..

The ONA Tour used far smaller venues than Musicology, so a longer lead time would surely be expected.

I've no real news although I haven't been at work for the past week but I'm back tomorrow so maybe I'll find out more then but I think the next time I post something will be when I have definite confirmed info. It's interesting to see from other postings that there are rumours of European gigs in October which ties in with my own unconfirmed info so here's hoping for an autumn tour....
