alright, i called....and talked to the guy that sold the posters to prince himself, he said, the store was not closed down for him, he walked in just like a normal person, didnt talk to anyone really, walked around a bit, and then bought 3 posters, 2 of them were in fact of him, i asked why the hell he would do such a thing and he said its because they were rare german concert posters...really cool, i guess the last poster that he bought was of miles davis.
i asked him if he thought it a bit strange that i was calling to ask him about the shopping trip, he said, not really, there have been quite a few folks that have asked about it, in his words, he said, "i know the deal." i asked if he had gone to the show, he said no, i asked if he liked prince, he said yes. not a very talkative guy, but i appreciate him taking the time to answer my questions. i've lived in kc all my life and have visited this store several times. i love it... and i think i have a good idea of which poster he bought. there is a graffit bridge double sided banner poster with him on the vertical, and the mural on the horizontal. very, very cool poster and very cheap... something under $20. i often thought about purchasing it, but never had the extra ca$h to buy such an akward frame.
wish i would have been there. word has it that he was at the blue room at 18 & vine monday night and ate at the peach tree. *********************************************************************************************

Maybe Prince will Make these posters and sell them at the NPGMC site..Now that would be Smart. He should Actually make available Old Posters and Shirts cause alot of fans would buy new Copies at Reasonable prices. Alot of Posters are Sold at Record shows and they are Somewhat Old.

he should DEFINITELY make old T-SHIRTS and posters from old tours available at NPGMC, i would KILL to have the 1986 Parade Shirt that my mom threw out back!

NPGMC should start an online auction part of their site where they auction off stuff like this and all those bootlegs they made the fans fork over last year, and then give all the money from the auctions to charity.

Yes and that LOVESEXY SHIRT with His Face in Colors. Well mine got Stained so Yes,I wish he would Reissue Older Stuff so us Fans could have them New.And we can wear them and it would be Cool cause it's Vintage Prince ya know. Plus some posters well have ripped, discolored so to remake them Alot of Fans would dig that. I want that PUPPET from PURPLE RAIN..I WAS NEVER ABLE to GET that.

Yeah not that unusual actually. A friend of a friend was working at tower records when prince came in. He bought a copy of Sign O The Times and something else. This was circa the early 90s so I can't remember what the something else was, but I always thought it was funny that prince walked in and bought his own record.

We also now know that Prince's horn section really tore it up at the Blue Room the night before the big KC show last week (still not over missing that one!)
What I'd like to know is did he treat the band to some KC BBQ at Arthur Bryant's which is right around the corner from the Blue Room???
