2 wheels behind the drums??

At the Raleigh RBC center show there were two car wheels sitting behind John's drums, one on each side. Did anyone else notice these? Were they at any of the other shows? Anyone know why they were there?
Inquiring minds want to know (well....mine anyway)! confuse

I saw them last night at the Atlanta show, the are actually "spinners" spinning rims. They are really popular right now.

I was at the RBC Center show as well...a friend of mine was sitting on the side with the rims. At least he told me they were there. I was on the opposite side, so I didn't see them. (Yes, I had a great seat, by the way! wink )
He told me that they were indeed "spinners". I don't know the significance as far as them being at the show, but if only I could afford some for my car! LOL

I think they are just there as set dressing. He did similar things on ONA. There were car grills mounted to the front of the keyboard rigs. A Mercedes and a BMW I beleive. Prince just likes cars and chrome and its a good, cheap, off the rack way to decorate the stage. Money isn't flowing all over the place like it was back in say Lovesexy/SOTT times, you know?

Actually maybe it is and he just doesn't want to spend money on that sort of stuff anymore. As I recall the T-bird from Lovesexy cost a FORTUNE.

Ooooooh..yeah...the T-bird! Now, that was an awesome show! (Actually, it was my first Prince concert...1988.) Did you go to a Lovesexy concert?

on the subject of "money flow", please tell me where do you get "cheap" spinners? ain't those things easily a grand a pop?

btw, he had a benz and a LEXUS grill on the ONA tour. maybe that's cheaper than a beemer grill

True enough. But in relative terms this is cheap. Prince doesn't shop at Big K Autoparts! According to Alex Hahn's book the Lovesexy TBird cost $250,000!! That's a lot of spinners!!

Prolly! And what about that "bubble thing"? Straight out of the Sharper Image catalog!!

Now I'm not complaining, mind you. I say save your money Prince. Give us more music, not more stage do-dads!! The time for the traveling basketball courts and hydrolic beds is past, IMO.
