I think now that he´s Prince again he should use it every now and then cause it´s the trademark Prince guitar , he´s the only one who uses that guitar...that and the Hohner are the ultimate Prince guitars.Habibi/Symbol is also cool especially because he is Prince again.....just reminds us of the o+> days, the struggle, the whole Marvel Comic-like story/saga that happened during the last decade..finally, the circle closes and the alchemy and numerology and myth behind it all is becoming evident...the soapstone that helped to create gold, the phase he´s in right now.

First of all I love it. Its beautiful and its Prince to me. I still remember the first show I saw him live- JOTY. As he pulled out different things from different eras- the hohner, the cloud guitar, the symbol guitar, the gun mic, etc I went wild to see these things in the flesh for the first time. To me no Prince show is complete without the cloud. I mean its like Gene Simmons without the platform boots!

Secondly I HATE what he replaced it with- that damn powder blue stratocaster. How boring! I think it makes Prince look ordinary and small. Maybe that is the point. Maybe he wants to look more "mainstream" and less "eccentric". His current wardrobe also bears this out.

But I say LOSE the strat and bring back the cloud! Blue, red, creme, black, I don't care!

I agree the cloud guitar was the bomb it had a more wicked sound especially during those guitars solos

I saw Prince in Sydney last october, the soundcheck he used the telecaster, which was great as he did a blistering version of Beuatiful Strange and 17 Days, the actual show he walked on stage with the blue stratocaster and tore up Lets Go Crazy. I only wished the cloud made an appearance, sadly it didnt for the entire concert. Purple Rain was done with purple habibi guitar. It was the only thing I would change about the show.....no cloud guitar.

It's shape is feminine and phallic all at the same time... It truly IS the perfect guitear for Prince. I really like his leopard print Hoener and his symbol guitar (Habibi) is cool in a cheesy kinda way...and that new pale blue & white guitar he's using is SO not him-- All in all there's NOTHING better suited to him than the "cloud" style.

Oh, and by the way nana- there ARE more than the two...there's a clear/see through lucite could guitar too, and it is the wickedest looking one yet. Wish 2 GOD he'd bring it out to play soon!! Hey P-- R ya reading this?!?

I miss it! But I do know that it is traveling with him. At the Atlanta show Takumi wheeled out a rack of guitars after the show to put into cases and there on the rack was the blue cloud. Hope he picks it up soon!

I so miss the BlueAngel guitar...

but not to worry, this is only the start of something for Prince and I'm sure at some stage he will eventually bring it out in full roar.
