i don't have a problem with the drinking, so much as I have a problem
with the drinkers spilling beer all over the place!!!!!
then the floors are all slippery the whole night
then they spill beer on the seats, which makes it all sticky and then
your clothes smell like old beer the rest of the night.
And they got beer on my new shoes!!!!

i don't usually drink anything but i was surprised to see that the venue was serving alcohol at the columbia show, since prince had banned alcohol from his shows ages ago. *shrugs*

Funny story, I don;t drink at concerts..well concerts where I value the experience and I don;t want to miss a thing...At the Raleigh NC show Friday before last, a lady behind me spilled beer alllll over the couple to my right. The lady (the spilled upon) turned to me and said "did she spill beer on you too?"...man I was so into the show and dancing and watching and hollering, I didn;t even realize I was soaked too. I didn;t even get mad, I just kept on dancing!

i had 2 bbers before the 2/14 Fillmore show started. We got in early, so we were only about 3 or 4 people back from the stage. Right as Prince came out, I realized I had to pee. But there was no way I could get out and then get back to my spot. So I held it through the WHOLE show. I thought I was gonna explode!!! It was the first time I was hoping he'd cut the encores short!

Whether you drink or not, PLEASE don't play those freakin' tambourines! At the Penn State show, we were trapped next to some rhythmless woman who decided that she needed to fill in on percussion all night long... and I mean ALLLLL night long. Get a clue and leave it in the bag next time!

I drink at P shows. It is like going to see family and my family likes to party. I'm over 21 and I am pretty sure it is still legal. As far as P banning alcohol at shows - I don' think that has ever happened, at least not in the 8 shows I have been to in the last 20yrs.

I understand not eating or drinking b/c you do not want to miss anything. I have held it for longer than I would like on several occasions, but I can usually go out and be back within 3 mins, so no real loss.

Oh and I don't feel creepy drinking in front of P. I feel creepy when he breaks out that JW Shit! No just kidding.

Only water. My throat gets a little dry from screaming the lyrics. I try not to scream, but can't help it. I'm gonna have to smuggle in my own water next time. I paid $4 for a big CUP of water, couldn't even get a bottle with a lid!

Even though I've enjoyed myself there were so many druken fools at the Cleveland show.

There was this drunk couple that near the end of the show they were picking up confetti off the floor and throwing it up in the air giving each other high fives.

There was this drunk guy that in the floor seats who got up and performed splits and danced for the the people in the lowerbowl area like it was his concert.

There were these drunk young girls (but they handled their licquor) who were buing 2 three beers at a time every 10 min.

As soon as we stepped ouside after the show. There was this REALLY drink guy sitting on the ground arguing with the cops talking bout "What the Prrrrroooblem?"

And while we were walking to the car this drink guy almost tripped in front of my brother. Then my brother started imitating him.

While we were driving home I was praying that there wouldn't be any drunk driving accidents.


Personally I don't drink anything before the show not even koo-aid. I don't wanna run the bathroom and miss a song.

How can a person get drunk a show? There are no memores to hold on to. The whole show would be just one big blur.

I have a 16 ounce coffee to calm my nerves before I walk into the venue. I go to the bathroom 10 minutes before showtime (whatever's printed on the ticket), pop a couple of Altoids and I'm good to go.

I stopped drinking alcoholic beverages when I was 15. There was nothing like Wild Irish Red Rose Wine ($2.14 a pint) mixed with grape Kool Aid and listening to Prince for 72 hours straight.
