Third show added in Detroit -- July 30 Joe Louis Arena

Courtesy of an acute Detroit Crawl motor baby listening to the radio this morning, WGPR 107.5 FM in Detroit announced a third Prince Musicology 2004Eva tour date.

Prince and The Band will perform at Joe Louis Arena on Friday, July 30.

General Admission tickets, get this, go on sale SATURDAY, JULY 24 -- seven days before the gig.

No word on NPGMC presales. No ticket prices announced. Might be the same at The Palace -- $49.50 and $77.50 and $75 for club members.

More details I guess as we get them.

Thanks to Nettie Smiles for all the info and the beautiful wake-up call this morning!

eek OMG.....Prince will be at the Joe.....I think I am going to pass out... cool cool I can't wait. Prince has always had a soft spot for Detroit. I remember back in '82 or '83 P played at the Masonic Temple for 5 days straight and if I am not mistaken, some of the days he performed twice....I am so geeked.... lol

Certainly tickets would go on sale before July 24th, wouldn't they??? Seems like last minute for such a huge arena, and that would go against the grain in terms of tickets for this tour. For all other dates they have been going on sale months before the show. Maybe they mean that there will be GENERAL ADMISSION (i.e. standing room only seats) available on the 24th of July??? Hmmm....interesting!

Well you would think that -- ticket to go on sale way before the gig. Maybe this will happen, but this is the info we got from the radio station. Kind of weird -- seven days before for general admision. But you know how radio stations are. It will get sorted out.

Guess the radio station is now reporting that the general admission on sale date is Saturday, May 1. But NPGMC will not confirm anything until they have confirmed ticket pricing and reserved seating for its NPGMC members.

Oh the wait. As the saying goes during Graffiti Bridge -- it's just around the corner ...
