I am SO PUMPED about tonight! (Like many of you, I'll be attending more than one Chicago show, but unlike a lot of you, not all of them).

I was just thinking about how tonight could be made even more special...

I joined these boards because in my neck of the woods in white-bread Chicago suburbia, I am the only real Prince fan to be found. I am grateful to all of you for giving me a place to go with my Prince insights, stories, thoughts and wishes. But tonight, I'm hoping to take that one step further...

I WANT TO MEET SOME OF YOU!!!

Many of us got our tickets through the advance sale at NPGMC. I'm assuming that means that we'll all be seated in large clumps together, especially given the 2 ticket max on presales.

So I would like to make a request of all of you here and now...

When you get to your seat tonight (or whichever night), please introduce yourself to the people seated near you...as many as you can feel comfortable introducing yourself to. See if you bump into anyone from the boards!

Some of you go way back...you've attended shows together and have met in person. I, unfortuntately, have not had that good fortune. I am hoping to have met at least a few of you by the end of the night tonight...never mind the other shows and Sunday night. I'd love to put some faces to screen names soon!

If anyone has any other ideas for meeting, like showing up before or after to a location, cell phones, whatever, let me know!

Great ideas!! I am so hyped about tonight, but.....


I have become leery of trying to introduce myself to people around me, asking if they post to the Org or the club, cuz folks have been so rude to me lately. But, if anyone wants to introduce themselves or talk to me I am all for it. Look for me. That is me in my avatar so if you see me, please say hello. I'll be dressed in a plum/purple long sleeved shirt with a black shirt under it with black pinstripped pants. I will also have on two Prince buttons. One with the 1999 logo and one with a pic of Prince on it.

I will also be the big black chick falling to the ground when he goes into The Question of U.

okay, everyone....here we go.

in a few minutes i'm gonna be making my way to allstate via good ol' public transportation, trying my best to hit the will call window before the maddening throngs arrive. i have no idea what i'll be doing after i get my ticket, but whatever. hopefully i'll be running into some of ya.

unless i have a major wardrobe malfunction in the next few minutes, i'll be the scruffy lookin' little white guy with short messy hair, black pants and an black short-sleeved button-up shirt with this look on his face:

i feel like i'm at that point of a rollercoaster ride where we've finally creeped up to the tippy-top of that first big hill. hold on tight, y'all....like i said, HERE WE GO.

Just wanted to reiterate Kacey's thoughts for everyone going to tonight's 6/26 show...tonight's gonna be more of a chill show for me cuz I bought TicketBastard seats in a last-minute decision, and I'm taking a good friend of mine who's not as much of a Prince geek as I am, but is excited nonetheless to see the man perform tonight (and why wouldn't he be?). It'll be cool just watching the show through his eyes tonight and digging things from a different perspective. I hope everyone has a blast tonight!

I didn't meet any of you guys, but I did meet some cool people...one of which even got on stage. While I was a little bummed that I didn't meet any of you, I did spread the vibe I posted here and shook hands with everyone near me. We were GETTING DOWN together...no sitting whatsoever. What a party!!!

I am not going every night, but I'm going Monday and Tuesday again. This time, I want to meet some of you...maybe we could pick a place to stand at a certain time or something crazy like that? I wish we all had orger pins or something...

No matter! We'll meet! And keep up that friendly spirit. It made last night that much better!
