THANKS PRINCE & NPGMC

I took my mom to see you in Raleigh. I purchased member seats from you that ROCKED. Prince- you have made my mom the happiest "girl in the world". She has called me at least 10 times since we left Raleigh to thank me and tell me what a great time she had. She said it was one of the greatest nights of her life. She can't believe that she got to see Prince THAT CLOSE! I've never seen her more excited and more full of life. She's 60, heavy, hard working with not much to show for it, exhausted most of the time. It was amazing to see her so full of life and HAPPY!!! I love her so much. She is truly my best friend. She loves Prince almost as much as I do. She took the day off to drive over 5 hours by herself to meet me (I drove 5 hours, too from DC area), spend the night and drive home the next morning...all of that effort to see "her man" Prince in concert! And you didn't let her (us) down! What a show! You tore it up. THANK YOU!!!!!

This was only my 2nd Prince concert. Although, I've been a fan since the first album. I was too young to even know what the songs meant. I was a young girl (11 or 12), running around with my "boom box" blaring Controversy. (and the Time- I loved Cool and 777-9311)

My first concert was the Hin N' Run Tour - May 4, 2001 at the Hollywood Palladium. It was amazing. I purchased the Balcony seats and it was amazing to say the least. I couldn't belive I was watching Prince in such a small place...I was in heaven. I thought no other Prince concert could touch that experience. It was such an intimate setting.

BUT, I was wrong..this time I bought Floor seats not knowing where I'd end up, and pretty much not caring as long as we were in the bldg during the concert. I just about fainted when we got our tickets at will call. They were Section 5, Row 3, seats 7 & 8. Right behind the back/side of the stage. I've seriously never seen my mom so excited, as when we got up to the seats and they were actually FRONT ROW. The section only had 4 rows and they were split with Row 1&2 on the right and 3&4 on the left making Rows 1 AND 3 Front Rows!!!! We scored! I can't thank you enough for the great seats.

My mom was on her feet the entire night (we both were). She's a big woman and doesn't exercise much, out of shape to say the least. I'm not being mean, just honest. She was on her feet, dancing, jumping, screaming, singing, smiling, laughing, hugging me, asking for my cell phone 2 times to call her friends (isn't that a hoot?) to tell them where she was! I have never been so thrilled! Not only did I get to see PRINCE & NPG from like 10 feet away (when they were on our side) I got to make my mom happy. Her legs hurt so bad the next day from all of the jumping and dancing. I didn't tell her that she was going to get the Musicology CD for free- that was another great part!

Sorry for rattling on, but as you know, at a concert (or any event) there are many different stories of the night. It can touch so many different people in so many different ways. I have got to hand it to Prince. He has still got IT. I am always amazed when I listen to his music. The talent...I wish I had a tiny fraction of his talent. His songs MOVE YOU! His guitar, his voice, his moves, his style, his soul, his sense of humor, the man has got it all. (did I mention his looks?) And now, his sprituality- WOW!!

The whole show was amazing. The acoustic set blew us away. Jailhouse Rock & Telemarketer's Blues were great and funny. I was bummed a little that he dropped Adore & Sweet Thing, but hey...I'm not complaining. The show couldn't have been better. The Beautiful Ones, Nothing Compares 2 U and Purple Rain were all jaw dropping. He may as well have been "The King", because he sure was ruling the RBC that night.

NPGMC~ Thanks for the amazing seats. I (and my mom) are truly grateful. I'll see you in Aug for the DC show, but not as close!

Prince~ Thanks for sticking up for your fans. We are all tired of the lip syncing. I've found myself bored with all of the fools that have to sample from everyone else and then lip sync on top of that! Thanks for an amazing show as always. Thanks for coming back on tour and showing us the real deal. We love it!

For those of you who read this without nodding off, thank you, too! I promise to NEVER EVER write more than a few sentences at a time on this forum again! biggrin

Your review brought a tear to my eye. I am as close to my mom as you are to yours. To my suprise, I found out that she loves Prince. I promised her that when I go to the NY show in July that I would get her a T shirt and program. I myself cannot wait for the show. It will be my first, so I am looking forward to it. biggrin

I'm taking my moms too. Have to prove to her what I've been telling her for 15 years or so.
