My fiance and I got to go on stage for a good 13 minutes (yes, I timed it!!!) with Prince in Knoxville on 23 April. We were dressed in all black next to my idol Ms. Smith. He wore a tux and I had on a slinky black thingy with a slit up to here . I could die now. Have mercy!!! During "Take Me With You", Prince came up to me with that famous golden 45mm microphone and sang "you're sheer perfection". It was my moment to say on stage what I've been saying for years in the shower when that song came on. Was this solo destin to me??? I said with the loudest, off-key, Georgia Peach accent I could muster up..."THANK YOU!!!"

I was wondering what your experience was like onstage with the NPG. Maybe someone will remember you or your stage antics. I know we were cute and all but the P-Look-A-Like and the Pimp that came out on the stage during "Soul Man" were just funky!!!

I was picked 2 be on stage with Prince and the NPG at the Webster Hall taping 4 the Musicology BET/MTV special. Right after we were seated this chick comes up and says"Excuse me, could u do me a favor? Do u wanna be on stage with Prince 4 the whole performance?" I was up on the stage in seconds and when the band and then, ultimately PRINCE came out, it was on like popcorn. I was standing in the back, right near Blackwell (whose hand I shook after the performance) and it was crazy cool seeing things from Prince's point of view, listening 2 him direct the band, call out the changes, etc. At one point, right b4 Life O' The Party, Prince came 2 the back of the stage and we were able 2 say hello 2 him. I've met him on 2 other occasions, but this was too cool.
Although my big TV debut was cut short...check out the end of "Dear Mr. Man." I'm the brother in the black suit grooving right next 2 Blackwell.
All in all, an incredible experience.

"Would you be so good as to perform a guitar solo when Prince calls on you? Nothing taxing. Don't worry - you won't upstage him. I'll make sure one of the strings is slightly out of tune, and you'll be playing one of the Cloud replicas we normally sell in the Retail section.

And I'll say, "Hell, I've got a reputation and a career as a budding rock god to consider, but ... what the hell. Anything to help the comeback"

It was so cool, though...never in a million years did I think I'd be on stage with the whole band, even after seeing Prince live 16 times. Definitely an experience I won't 4get.
