Well the Colonial Center is located about 2 blocks over from an area known as "The Vista". Many bars/restaurants and clubs in this area. There is a Flying Saucers in the Vista located close to the arena. It's a good place to hang out. 100+ beers on tap and just as many in bottles or cans. something to suit everyones taste. haha can't tell I hang out there. I'll be at the concert too with a couple friends. Actually work for state dept. of transportation and my office is beside the arena. Enjoy Columbia while here. If you have any questions email me at seadoo579@yahoo.com

Ill be getting to the colonial center around 3 or before .. I was at the Aerosmith show there 2 weeks ago and they didnt mind people walking around the back of the building where the busses are so we're gonna do that.. and after the concert they dont mind either so theres a possibility that you could maybe meet Prince if you go back there.. My brother and I both won a pair of tickets from a drawing so we invited 2 friends and still have 2 tickets that we could sell or something.. but their all in the upper level

I've got seats in the 7th row off the floor. Should be an awesome concert. I was there the last time Prince came to Columbia and it was definitly the best show I've ever seen. This time will be extra special because his drummer, John Blackwell, is a Columbia native. He's always dreamed of playing for a hometown crowd and tonight he will realize that dream. It should be a great concert and a great home coming for John. 10 hours till showtime. smile

I'll be there. Get off work at 415 from charleston. Will be wearing black pants, long-sleeved blue shirt w/ a sun on it. I'm so excited!

Don't know how official this is, but just heard that there will be an after party at Jillian's in the Vista. Don't know if this is an "official" afterparty, but wanted to let everyone know. Jillian's is just a couple blocks from the arena.

The columbia show ROCKED. Best concert I've ever seen, and I've seen just about every music idol I worship (except for Steely Dan or Portishead). Prince's performances of "The One" and his acoustic set were the highlights. But the biggest highlight was John frickin' Blackwell. holy cow that man can beat!
