He shook his ass right at me!

Still blown away by my front row seat in OKC on Tues. Y'all know that Prince likes to be funny. At one point he was doing this crazy booty shakin right in front of me. With a little boost up I coulda grabbed his butt. But hey, I ain't like that now, he deserves more respect than that. But it was tempting. har
Also I woulda got my ass hauled outta there real quick.
He does a thing too about "uh huh, I been seein a lot of lip sinkin goin on up in here!" He says "You don't think I know? Just look at my face!" Then he does this real serious disciplinary face and turns all around for everyone to see. He looks like your worst school teacher and it is very funny.
I wanted to go onstage and dance, but didn't get too. A couple of the girls that did kept trying to touch him, he was cool, but would just brush right by them and not even look at them. So I wouldn't suggest that if you get the chance to get onstage.
Here in Oklahoma he had a real good time with the nerdiest white guy who really danced funny but was really into it, not playing, he was getting his groove on. Prince didn't make fun of him just danced with him and encouraged him to GO, GO, GO.
I don't know about others experiences but this was my 4th concert and with the exception of the Purple Rain concert days he really does seem to be happy and have a good time with the people.

Prince's stagecraft in this respect is wonderful.

He is a master at knowing what's going down.

Example #1: St Paul, Excel performance, 2001. The stage is full of audience dancers. Prince is rear of stage making his way forward, microphone in hand. Invited dancers include one larger lady who executes an innocuous but lethal high kick which would have rendered the unobservant unconscious. Prince meanwhile sashays forward and in one seamless move ducks straight under her raised leg without her even being aware of it.

The moment was replayed later that night back at Paisley Park to much audience amusement.

Example #2: London, 2002 (1st Night) - audience invited on stage for 'All the Critics ...'. One excited female decides it's a good idea to perform orgasmic convulsions of the most physical nature in front of Prince as he plays on keyboards. No semi-conscious human being could fail to notice this woman's behaviour from 100 paces. Prince however takes absolutely no notice whatsoever. He put in a memorable performance that evening, and that was one of his quieter highlights.

By all means get on stage and do your thing, Prince wants people to get up and enjoy themselves. But it's his invitation to dance to his music, not take your clothes off or invade his personal space.

.
ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.
