SURVEY: Where were your NPGMC seats? So I just read the review posted by the guy who got on stage to sing a chorus of "Kiss" with Prince last night, and his NPGMC seats were in what sounded like the worst possible spot in the whole place. So I'm wondering if there are other people out there with the same experience. Who bought tickets on NPGMC and where were they? Obviously, this question can only be answered by those who actually went to the show already, since NPGMC tickets are not assigned until arrival.
It will be helpful to know. If they're sticking everyone in that bad section, maybe some of us will want to buy other tickets, even up in the rafters.

I was in Omaha and in Ames and for Omaha I was seated right in front of Rhonda Smith first row. I have no complaints about that!
In Ames I was also on the same side as Rhonda but this time I was in front of the catwalk in the 3rd row. My ticket said row 5 but there were only 2 rows of people in front of me. You can see alot more from being a few rows back but being in the front row was great! I felt I could have reached out and touched Rhonda I was so close to her. I wouldn't worry at all about your seats. If you don't like where you end up sitting, I'm sure you could trade with someone that is further back. You will see more of the stage but you won't be up close. 'You must first be a Prince before you can be King'

I know the guy you mean that had the bad front row seat. But that is the only one I know that had it bad, and I admit that it was bad. apparently if you get behind the keyboards that sucks but I had NPGMC seats in the front row and could see everything onstage, it's not that big or elevated.I could see Prince 99 percent of the time.
In the middle of the stage he was still only about 10 to 12 ft. away. Then on the catwalk by me he was about 4 ft. away. I feel like I know him personally now, nose hairs and all. ha Naw just kidding there he is immaculately groomed. And by the way I don't think he was wearing makeup. Maybe a little powder for the shine, and possibly some mascara, no lipstick (and he has very pretty lips he, he) Ok I am off the subject. Try to get in on a NPGMC pre-sale if they have more, you won't be sorry!!!!

for those of you who were up close with member tickets, what do your last names start with? just wondering if there is any truth to the rumours of an alphabetical distribution process.

I have no idea if that is true, but it is an interesting theory. My last name starts with C and I was on the front row. YES

My friend who purchased the tickets last name was B and we were in the first row. I honestly believe that the tickets are being given in the order the were purchased and not alphabetical, which I believe is fair cuz that is how you would get them through Ticketbastard.

I have heard that people that get the crappy floor seats get picked to dance up on stage. Not sure if this is true or not though. Do you think anyone checked these seats out before deciding to give them to the members? Hmmmm.

Obviously it's not determined alphabetically...let's put this theory to the test:
Has anyone noticed a trend of seat location correlating to when you bought the tickets on NPGMC? In other words, has anyone who didn't buy their tickets in the first few minutes ended up on the first row? And has anyone who purchased in the first minute ended up way back? Just wondering..

Before the Indianapolis concert, I chatted with some members who said they ordered their tickets and received their confirmation within four minutes of the tickets going onsale. The same probably applies to me. But they had fifth row, and I had first row. Even if I ordered a minute before them, did rows two through four disappear within that one minute? I doubt there are that many member tickets sold in a city like Indianapolis. Perhaps the assignment truly is random.
