Show Report Suggestion The poster Aerogram had a very good idea on the Music and More section of the site.
Basically, it would allow the random posts on Musicology (the album) to be consolidated into a questionnaire contained in a single thread. Maybe a similar concept could be employed here regarding Musicology (the concert)? I've included some of Aerogram's questions that would apply and added some others specific to the shows. What has been your reaction to the Musicology show? - Sheer joy and and exhilaration. - I was really pleased. - It was ok. - Mostly negative -- I only like a few songs. - I was terribly disappointed. What was your favorite song? What is the song you disliked the most? Which songs would you replace in the show? Where were you sitting (section/seat)? Based on your seats, the visibility of Prince? The band? How did you acquire you tickets? What did you think of your member seats. What did you think of the "in the round" concept. Where there any problems (seats, sound, parking, etc)? Given all of the above, would you go again? This might help answer many of the basic questions people have about the Musicology concert experience. If you decide to do this, feel free to alter or add/remove questions. As i'm thinking about this you may have to have one for each show (might get a bit unwieldy). I think it would cool to at least have a thread per concert - for example, I don't still want people going around and around about the lack of an acoustic set in Phoenix when I'm trying to read what other people thought of the show I saw in Champaign...ya know? But I like Aero's template, it certainly gives focus. | |

I hear you. You could start a "Phoenix - I'm p.o.'d cause I didn't get the acoustic set" thread and put them all there (or something along those lines). Aerogram's idea was a good one for sure. It hit home for me in this forum because I was looking for answers to very similar questions concerning the show. Out of curiosity, as a mod, do you have to read every post and move/edit/delete where necessary? If so, it sounds like a helluva lotta woik. I went to the dallas show(drove up from S.A.), I was blown away!!! The best show i have ever seen, it had everything!! I have seen prince b-4 on emancipation tour and hit n run tour, And this was the best show. He made a great decesion doing the show in the round.
fav song - purple rain (cuz it was extended!!) song disliked - none song to replace - short version of when doves cry (he should do entire song, near end of show) seating - section 119 row L....(ABSOLUTE PERFECT SEATS!!) visibility - perfect. could see everything all the time...couldnt get any better. ticket aquisition - EBAY!!! NO PROBS WITH SEATS, VIEW, OR THE SHOW AT ALL...xcept they ran out of the t-shirt i wanted I am going to the SAN ANTONIO SHOW, DALLAS AGAIN, AND IF HE DOES HOUSTON, WHICH I AM SURE HE WILL, THEN HOUSTON AS WELL. ANYONE INTERESTED IN GETTING TOGETHER BEFORE OR AFTER EITHER OF THE SHOWS?? | |
