My tickets were also in section 15, row F...bought them within 5 minutes of them being online...my last name also begins with the letter "N"!

BTW....my last name begins with an "S" and I got my tix 30mins after the presale started.

Hmm, well my last name begins with a "T" and I got my tickets about 15 minutes after the presale began. Ended up in the 100s (plaza not floor seating)

Pretty good view of the whole stage, but Prince tended to favor the side opposite us. Guess he is used to keeping his back to the drummer.

It5 was great seeing ya'll again, Becky & Susan. You didn't miss much at the aftershow. It was at some ghetto club and nothing was happening anyway. I look forward to seeing ya'll in June.

What club was it held at? I kept waiting 4 someone 2 say something or announce it, but heard nothing. Did P even show up?

There wasn't an aftershow in Dallas. We got "up close and personal" with one of the band members on our way out of the arena (he was the really big guy. Forgive me, I don't know his name). He was asked about an aftershow and he said he was going back to the hotel and going to bed. He was also asked about them coming back to Dallas in June and he said Prince hadn't said anything to them about it before. We figured maybe Prince had just meant that they would be back to *Texas* in June (San Antonio). We didn't hear Prince say an actual *day* in June.

My personal "brush with greatness" continued when I had returned to my hotel room and was going back out to the clubs for the night. The elevator doors opened in the lobby and I was faced with that same band member along with Renato Neto and a couple of the horn players. I was in shock and just got out of their way as I got off and they got on. They were staying at the Melrose Hotel on Cedar Springs. Pretty cool! Does anyone know if Prince actually stayed there, too?

can some tell me about the erykah badu song before i lose my mind.....OMG....

You sound like an Erykay fan...I've never heard her music before so my eyes were really on Prince the whole time. But Prince pulled her out of the crowd and said something like, "Dallas, give it up for one of your own!" She sang "Southern Girl" in the middle of "Life O The Party." Prince joked with her a bit and the stage was packed at that point with other people pulled up on stage.

Well, I'll say this..there are two people that I'll never miss live....prince and erykah...and damn it to have them both on stage....lawdy lawdy lawd.....wit her prego self.

Didn't anyone bother to see what the view would be like for people while they built this fucking stage? Damn, I'm irritated. They need to lower that shit immediately sad

Well the reason the stage is so high is that Prince uses under the stage as his backstage area to change and chill. They need to have the floor seats on a platform too. He has stairs right by John Blackwell that go under the stage but once at Glendale he came down the stairs on the side and then went thru the curtain to underneath. I think that is after he threw the mic down.

Prince didn't say a date, but after the show ended the monitors displayed "2nd Dallas show added, June 11, tickets on sale April 17"

The design sucks. I understand the reason for the height but I don't want my view fucked up either. Like you said the floor seats need to be on a platform too OR they should have built the stage a little lower into the floor so we'd only be looking up 4 ft or so, not 6 whofarted
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

OMG! eek My friend just called me and told me that she heard on the radio that Prince was at club Roccafellas and he did perform. I heard during the night of the show that the after party was at club Roccafella, but I did'nt believe it because I did'nt get a flyer on it and they play mostly dirty south rap there. I can see Prince playing a club Blue, but at roccafellas? It's just not him. Does anybody knew if this is true? omg

smile Cool! It's been said that the tickets were distributed alphabetically -- our last name starts with "N" -- how 'bout you?

Did you really think the sound was good? I thought it was average at best in the AAC...there were times when Prince was talking to the crowd and I could barely make it out. Maybe it's just my ears!

OUr last name starts with M so you could be right. How strange?!!! what a weird way to seat people.

Yes, there was an after party. It was held at a club called rockafellers. He DID show up because I saw him with my own two eyes. He stayed in the VIP section the whole night sitting next to Rhonda (mmmhhhmmm don't let me talk to Mani) but anway...

the place was ghetto and dead. They played NO PRINCE.... duh but he was upstairs.

He was there but DID NOT play. I left when he left. Unless he left and came back which i doubt because i left with John Blackwell, Mike Phillips and the new keyboard player (big dude, can't remember his name)

SO were you hanging out with Prince and the band that night ? If so, how did you get into the VIP section ? Did Prince seem like he was feeling the music that night, since they only play Hip-Hop music ?

Yep -- that was us! We both had on purple shirts. My wife's read "Baby's 1st Prince concert" and had an arrow pointing down to her belly. My shirt said "Musicology major." smile

It was a long drive to Dallas. The drive to the SBC Center in June will be much shorter. smile
