NPGMC Seating

To anyone with NPGMC tickets that attended the L.A., Bakersfield, or Phoenix shows:

How did they work the seating? Was it assigned seating or first come, first served?

Thanks!

What about scalper/non NPGMC people being in front of you? There have been a few shows now. Any reports of that? Is everyone in front of you also in the NPGMC?!

In Phoenix, they had the tickets organized inside envelopes, inside a box. So the tickets were assigned in advance of the time you arrive at will-call. How they are assigned before that is anybody's guess. The NPGMC mods have said that after the member presale the list of member names is given to the venue to fulfill the tickets, where they are printed and assigned, and then taken to the will-call window for pick-up. Obviously those member names are printed from a member or transaction database of some kind, so they have to be in some order. Since the NPGMC mods have stated the time of ticket purchase will not affect where your seat is, it would make sense to print out the list of member names in alpha order.

I asked "the guy" at the Glendale Arena that was supposed to be in charge of 'ticketing issues' how the tickets were assigned. He said he had not been involved, and was given no other information other than the fact that there was a fan presale. I got to the will-call window 90 mins before showtime, because that's when the venue website said the window would open. When I got there, there was no line to wait in, and I ended up in row 8. Any closer than that and it's hard to see over the edge of the stage to the other side. Honestly, you're just as close in the front rows of the lower rung (the first level up from the main floor, in the "side" seats), and you have a better vantage point to see all of the onstage action, without the nuisance of obstructions.

A couple of us asked around about how people got their tickets, and everyone in my section near the stage claimed to be a member.
