Prince, REFUND my money please. Prince, if your going to cut people short because of their location, refund my money please. Your stage hand pulled out a chair for the acoustic set. Was Phoenix not worth it? If you pull this in Vegas or New York, they would have your head. Why did you give bakersfield a full show? Im not a hater, Im pissed we got a short show.

I can't believe people are complaining about the greatest show on earth. What a treat! But some people just gotta focus on the negative. That's just pretty sad. And by the way, Prince loves to play, so if he cuts a performance short, I'm betting he had a pretty good personal reason to do so.
Those complaining they didn't get their money's worth should go check out Madonna for 300 bucks quit being such a whining tonto, tonto Must I become naked? No image at all?

If you think Prince cut the show short because it was in Phoenix, then you are a moron. No live performance has a promised run time. You should just be happy that he was actually singing and playing real music. And you should be happy that he did not charge you an outrageous amount to see a way better than average show. If that would have been any other artist up there, we would not be hearing any complaints. Your comment is so ridiculous that it really does not deserve a response.

You might wanna check into the zoning laws near the venue where ya saw the show - it could be that Prince had no choice but to end the show at a certain hour, and that you should actually be directing your wrath at your local politicians....

Word is P was having mic troubles and was so angry at one point that he threw his mic at the soundman. I'm sure the mic problems would have been magnified during the acoustic segment, so maybe that's why he scrapped it.

Let's be realistic & adult about this! No tour has the same guaranteed set time every night. Sometimes shows are are shorter than other for reasons we don't know about. The acoustic set was only 10 to 15min. long, now is that anything to whine about. PS: Yes you are hating!

ENOUGH already people with this I got jipped stuff! You pay your money to a concert and you don't KNOW what songs the artist is going to sing or how he/she is going to sing them. It is crazy to think that whatever performance that was given in LA or Phoenix or Bakersfield or whatever would be the same or even comparable. If P had given a totally diffferent performance from any of the show s he's given so far and everyone loved it then no one would be saying ohh my I got a shortened show? This oh he didn't do this song or that song is Childish!!! Give it a rest!!!

How stupid are some of you people? Unless you were there how are you going to make comments that prince didn't like the audience. The audience wasn't into it. The audience was rocking. The concert started late, and finished early. Enough said!
I paid 540 for 6 tickets. I got stuck on his 3 days on 1 day off show schedule. Im sure he will play the acoustic for his next show. Like someone else said, prince if your tired, maybe you should take more rest days, instead of being money hungry and jipping the fans. If Im going to pay that kind of money I want the full show. What does bakersfield have over Phoenix? Think about you guys who are going to the concert. Do you want the full show or a shorted one? First 2 shows were full. 3rd was shorted. I saw them pull out the acoustic set stuff out from the bottom. The mike problem had nothing to do with it. I was in the 3rd row. maybe prince just said,"lets get out of here" So i will say it again. Refund my money, im selling my hohner and cloud guitar screw you prince

Prince cut both New York shows short during the Lovesexy Tour, omitting the acoustic set (piano) during both shows. I'm sure Prince would laugh in your face for wanting your money back, just like I'm going to do. It didn't have anything to do with the location.

I want a refund too! 2 years ago I saw the ONA shows in NYC and Buffalo and I just realized that at the Vegas show he played some songs that he didn't play at my shows! AND there were guest musicians with him. I didn't get to see Sheila E. or Nikka Costa! I didn't get to hear Pop Life, Money Don't Matter 2 Night, Whole Lotta Love or Strollin' (actually that's a good thing)! Thanks for letting me know just how screwed I got at my shows.
Maybe they can institute a new policy where at the end of the tour they figure out what the average show length was and anyone that saw a show shorter than the average will get a slight refund while those that saw a longer show will be sent a bill. (take a breath now) I need to find an artist that will play exactly the same thing every night for the exact length of time. They should also play the songs they way they sound on the album. That's what I'm accustomed to. Actually, I guess they could just put their greatest hits album on and lip sync. Are there any artists out there like that? Please help. I don't want to take the chance of having a different concert experience than someone at another show. We should also only listen to what "The Man" tells us to. Oh, wait, that's called radio. My bad. WOW! I got a little off track there. Ain't sarcasm FUN!

Surely u cannot be serious! Tonto. $90 per ticket for an artist of this caliber is a steal. Since u are the only one in your "posse" complaining about this , a full refund is out of line. So we are down from $540 to $90. Now if we figure in the fact that he did maybe 15 songs and you got robbed of what 3? so thats $6 a song so $18 due to you. Now factor in the fact that you got an advance copy of the C.D which , to my knowledge, no other artist of this stature has given to his fans, FOR FREE. Based upon an average on ebay for what this C.D is selling for and the fact that I am sure that people overseas would have died to be in your seat. I think you should call it even. Or quite possibly I think I'd be willing to give you $12 for your c.d given the fact that it is probably opened already. But U would have to pay for the shipping.
P.S Do u need some cheese with that whine? Nuff said!

I just saw the set list for the show and I believe I counted 21 songs. Call me crazy but that's not too shabby.
Poor Tonto. I seriously feel bad for him (no sarcasm here). It seems like he didn't enjoy the show at all because of not getting a few songs acoustically. I'd probably be a bit disappointed too if I was expecting it to happen but that's one of the nice things about Prince...he does change things up. Having gone to a lot of different shows in my life and being friends with some local bands I can confirm that there are times when equipment malfunctions prevent certain parts of the show from going on. That's unfortunate but if he had played the acoustic set and the guitar or mic was all screwed up you might be demanding a refund for that. We'll probably never know what really happened. Enjoy what you DID see and don't hate what you didn't. (whoa, that sounded deep)

Thank u bosco that changes things. 21 songs at $90. I'll round up and say thats $4.30 a song times 3 thats $12.90 u are owed. Now factor in the C.D. Ok ok I'll give u $8.00 for your c.d. Will u shut up now?

Listen, he cannot get away with using the "bad sound tech" excuse on this tour. He has been paid major bucks by a tour sponsor. He can afford a decent sound tech crew.

Ticktickbang...I had to check the number of songs at the show for you...I didn't want you to overpay for that cd.
DISCLAIMER - My comment about overpaying for the Musicology CD is in no way a reflection on the quality of said CD. There are 5000 threads out there for that topic.

Tonto and Sueme should go and live unhappily ever after in a cave. I have every right to speak on this matter, because I have seen every show Prince has done in Phoenix since the Emancipation era. Even if there were not sound issues going on, we have no right to expect Prince to give us the same show that another venue gets. Regardless, you could not see a better live show for less than $90. You have nothing to complain about.
By the way Sueme, Prince has every right to blame the sound tech, or whatever was causing the problem with the mic's. Bottom line, an acoustic set is so raw, that it cannot be done properly without flawless sound. Also, Prince could be making 10 mil a show on this tour and that does not guarantee that there will never be technical problems. He could hire the best possible tech crew on the planet, and that will not guarantee a show with no problems. The Phoenix show was a rarity. I have seen Prince 12 times, and the sound and show has always been flawless. Mistakes happen, life is not perfect. Get over it. One last thing Sueme, I see that you are complaining that there was no after show in Phoenix during ONA. I am sooooo sorry that Prince just happened to be playing in Phoenix the day after his dear friend Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez died. What a selfish person Left Eye was, why couldn't she die the day after our show, so we could have our precious after show. (trying to be sarcastic, of course) You and Tonto need to think about more than just your issues before you post again. Prince does not live to make just you happy.
