Prince sets Seattle date - Seattle Times

http://seattletimes.nwsou...nce31.html

Spring has just begun, and already the summer concert season is heating up.

Prince, that '80s icon and recent inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, brings his "Musicology Tour" to KeyArena Aug. 30. Tickets go on sale Saturday, 206-628-0888 or www.ticketmaster.com.

The first concerts of the season at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn are sure to get people in a summertime mood. Multi-platinum-selling pop artist Christina Aguilera teams up with hot hip-hop act Chingy, May 13 ($31.75-$71.75), while No Doubt and Blink-182 rock the outdoor venue June 16 ($49.50-$53.50). Tickets on sale now through Ticketmaster.

I hate Key Arena with a passion, but since I'm gonna be on the floor right in front of the stage, who cares? woot!

I'm thrilled that Prince got a date nailed down, but dammit! I'm gonna be at college when the tour rolls into Seattle. I was hoping it would be earlier in the summer. I would totally take a road trip to see him, but a) I don't drive, and b) I don't know anyone who would drive me since none of my friends like Prince, sadly enough. I don't know why they're my friends, lol.
