Advice needed for second NYC show! Help! I've got my tix for the Monday night MSG show and the Friday night Meadowlands show. Now that the 2nd MSG show has been added, do I go to that too? That's over $500 I'd be spending in a couple of days to see Prince 3 times in one week. Do I skip the 2nd NYC show? Maybe I'll just go solo, so I don't have to buy anyone else a ticket to come with me (which is what I did for MSG night one and Meadowlands). Hm... Are you dragging poor Bryan to all these shows
I guess the question is whether you can afford it or not. Don't put yourself into hawk for concert tickets. Me personally I am skipping the second show in St. Paul not because of the price but because I think one show is enough to make me happy and keep me from being burned out. If you bought the tickets for the Meadowlands through the NPGMC you should write them an email and ask if you can get a refund for the Meadowlands show because you just found out about the second New York show. If they give you the refund (which I've heard they have done) then you should just attend both shows at MSG. Usually the first show in each city is almost the exact same so you would probably end up seeing the same show twice, but if he play a second show at MSG he's bound to mix it up a bit. Does this make any sense? See you in May. . [This message was edited Mon Mar 22 11:35:42 2004 by lovemachine]

Thanks for the advice. I figured that at least you would respond! Anyway, money is actually not too much of an issue (got that tax return back just in time), but if there's an after show, my thoughts are that it'll be after the tuesday night show rather than the Monday night show. And I'd hate to miss that. I guess I have between now and the time the tix go on sale to decide.
Looking forward to seeing you in May!

So now you must be in real trouble as I read that there is a 3rd MSG show and a second Meadowlands show. You might end up BROKE!

I opted out of going to the 2nd MSG show, which is cool since there's probably no chances of a Tuesday night after show if there is another MSG date the next day. Oddly, once I found out about these 2 additional shows, I stopped feeling the need to try and go to all of his NY/NJ shows 'cause there's no way I'd go to all 5 at $85 a pop!!! Is anyone out there going to all 5?

I have to admit I am going to all 5 shows! Someone asked me if I was crazy and my response was yes. but then I asked them, Would you listen to your favorite CD for 5 days in a row? The reply was yes. I figured I'm doing the same only it's live and in person. The money notwithstanding, it's something I'll never forget and probably never do again. It's the experience that counts!

GO TO THE MEADOWLANDS SHOW. Someone told me that the seating is much better at the Continental arena then MSG. I don't know how true this is; but I'd find out if I were you. But the other person does have a good point; NY and NJ shows will probably be the same whereas a second NY show may be different. My name is Prince and I want your money

I agree with this in theory and a few years ago I would have done the same thing, but recently I've come to some conclusions that I will share. If you were to see Prince 2 times which is plenty (considering the shows are probably going to be the same) that would leave you with an additional $255. Being as you live in New York you could probably go out and see a pretty large number of off broadway plays or off-off broadway plays with this $255 and I'm guessing that you would see some very, very entertaining things. I would suggest seeing some experimental plays and maybe even a traditional broadway musical. It's great to have broad tastes and then you would have the Prince experiences and maybe 6 or 7 other experiences.

So now there are 6 NY/NJ shows in total?
12.07.2004: New York/NY, Madison Square Garden, $89.50 13.07.2004: New York/NY, Madison Square Garden, $89.50 14.07.2004: New York/NY, Madison Square Garden 16.07.2004: East Rutherford/NJ, Continental Airlines Arena, $87 18.07.2004: East Rutherford/NJ, Continental Airlines Arena 20.07.2004: Uniondale/NY, Nassau Coliseum I don't even know when the added the Nassau show! Now I feel like 2 out of 6 shows is nothing. So EyeCuBaybee, are you now going to go to all 6 shows??? Anyway, you're right lovemachine, I can use my $ elsewhere, which I am planning on doing by spending a week in Paris this summer. Any Parisian orgers or orgers who've visited Paris before have any input on places to stay and things to check out, please let me know.
