Do I understand this correctly???? Ok, so what you are saying is..... even tho- I changed my Saturday plans so I could be sitting with fingers ready at the computer at the stroke of 12 to buy my tickets.. and I got them in the first 3 minutes I still might have WORSE seats that some one who goofed around and did not bother to try to get tickets until the SUNDAY NiGHT presell???
I dont mean to complain or be ungreatful..... but that is BS!!!!! They should do it just like the ticketmaster does it.. when you click on for your tickets you get the ticket that pops up next!! First come first serve! And now there is a second show added? I hope you guys are rigth about their being a member Presell..... Cause If I would of known there was going to be another show I would of went through ticket master and got my seats for the 2nd show.. At least I would of known FOR SURE where those seats are!!!!! Its very flusterating to be a Prince fan some times for sure!!!!! Peace ~~

Hey, it wouldn't be a Prince tour if things didn't disrupt into complete confusion at some point, now would it?

Would you prefer to have to wait in line for 9 hours with a bunch of loony fams for GA member tickets like the last tour?

Well, to be honest YES..... at least the seat location would be in MY hands.... and I could kinda control where I was sitting.... and besides.. the last few concerts I went to that were GA I ended up in the 1st or 2nd row.. I don't mind standing to be up close..... but it sucks to bust your butt to get your order placed right away and then find out that you are in the 10th row or WORSE!!!!! Come on..... there has to be a better way!!!

Also, most of us have a life outside Prince and don't actually have time to wait in line all day long so we are happy with the way it's being done. I kind of like the fact that I may walk into the venue at the last minute and be handed front-row tickets.

Ditto!! Its the lesser of two evils. I have to work. I have to drive. I CAN'T get in line early to cue for tickets. I guess I would like it if I felt like I had some control over it, ie that by being early I could do better. But I think the trade off is worth it. I mean my seats are set. I just don't know where they are, yet! And I'm going to three shows, so I should have good seats to at least ONE of them!! =) Oh and I too busted my butt to be online the minute the tix went on sale vie the NPGMC and had my tix w/ in three minutes. It will SUCK if I'm at the back of the "members" section after that!! The only thing that will suck worse is if there are people in front of me who are NON NPGMC members who got their tickets from connections or scalpers. That will be maddening. And it will happen. I know it. So I'm just making my peace with it right now. as best I can... But either which way its going to rock and tix were about half what they were on ONA!!

Well no, 1oth row seats would NOT be too bad..... But I have heard people say that they actually went up in to the first few rows of the upper level with NPG seats..... Now that would have to suck..... We are going to at least 2 shows.. and if he comes any other place closer we willl be at more..... but I still think they should give out tickets as your order comes in.... just like an actual ticketmaster does..... How hard is that?????

Or ya know what else will suck..... I know some people who JUST JOINED the NPG music club this past month so they could order good tickets. I have been a member of the NPG music club since its birth several years ago.. But watch..... those that just joined will get the best seats... Sorry to complain... I AM happy that I am going..... But it still makes me kinda crazy!!!!! Lisa

I just recently joined the NPGMC, BUT and let me emphasize that BUT, I have been a fan and buying his stuff since I was 11 years old, which would be 25 years now. So, if I do happen to get better seats than those of you who have been part of the club since the get go, I apologize, but I too have paid my dues and stood by him for a VERY long time. I never had the money to join so I didn't. There just happened to be more important things in my life that the money was utilized for. This situation may be true for many "new members".
I understand about the "waiting at the pc for the exact moment the tix went on sale", because I too waited for the tix that I bought. I took time out of my day to be sure I got the tix for both shows that I am going to. It would be upsetting if I didn't get good seats and the thing that bothers me the most is that we have no idea where our seats are. I am so glad that the shows are in the round because it allows for better seating even if we get screwed.

Well, I've slept on sidewalks in the past and been first in line and STILL gotten 15th row seats. (You have no idea how I wanted to throttle that lady behind the counter.) So if NPGMC gives me an easy way to consistently get tix in the first two sections from the comfort of my home PC without battling it out with security guards and rodents on the sidewalk overnight . . . . I'll deal with the NPGMC system.

Everyone needs to stop bitching and be grateful that they have the opportunity to purchase quality tickets. 99% of this site is people running their mouth bitching about something!!!!! Who cares if they are in the 10th row. They are still great seats.

Personally I'm all for the way tickets are being allocated this time, At the London shows it was always the same ole face's on the front row, many of whom were behind me in the queue, but had their seats saved by those greedy few who thought they had a right to throw their coats on the seats next to them, thereby saving it for their friends.
Hopefully tickets are alllocated the same if he decides to make it to Europe.

First of all, the NPGMC will be sending a list of members to the venue. The venue will then allocate the tickets that it has set aside for the members. That list could be sorted by order #, alphabetically, date of NPGMC membership, or any number of other ways. My guess is that it will be by order # but I find that the things that make the most sense sometimes are not done. Maybe the venue would be able to tell you how they will handle it but they'll probably tell you that they will hand them out according to the list they were given.
Secondly, if you found out during the presale that you were in the 10th row would you have said no to the tickets and then tried your luck on Ticketmaster? I guess I just don't understand what all the fuss is about. Or maybe I just don't see the point of complaining about something that hasn't even happened. I like to think that we are all going to have a great seat for a great show. Front row would be cool but 10th would be great also. I better not get the 11th row though...then I'd be pissed

the way i see it is like this: through ticketmaster, there are several prices depending on where you sit. through npgmc, there is only one price and it has always been the price for the best section. the club has advertised and gauranteed that members will have the best seats or, in their own words, "seats in the sections closest to the stage." couple that with the fact that there are approximatly 39,000 members of the club...scattered across the globe...and i fail to see what the worry is about. granted, if i paid 85 bucks for a show at the staples center and then had seats next to someone who paid 45, i would be salty. but, as we've all been reassured (several times), that is not going to happen.
go and enjoy yourself at the show. read the reports from club members come 29/30 march to put your mind at ease. and, until there actually IS a problem, maybe the whinging can be canned.

I agree with "MrPurple" and "Bosco". What's with all the negativity?
Sit back, take a deep breath and get back to reality...WE ARE GOING TO SEE PRINCE!!! It's all good. We're the fortunate ones. No matter what, we will not be in the nosebleed section. Be grateful. To Whistler~ I think I've been in the seat behind you for many concerts and more than likely I will be the shorty (5"2') behind you again this time. But...on a positive note...I WILL be there and I am grateful for that! We're going to have a blast! Can't wait.

I went to the DC ONA shows during the last concert season. And all three shows were assigned seating and it worked pretty well.
The only thing was, you couldn't order more than one day at a time so if you got good seats the first time around they just got worse and worse. But hey, buy a pair of binoculars and everything works out fine. However, I really don't mind the assigned seats as long as it's done fairly. And. . . you know how that goes. BTW: I've heard several people say, you may even benefit by having elevated seats because you can actually see more. Especially with the "in the round" stage setup. I can't wait to hear from LAers on the 30th to find out how everything goes. Peace and good seats to you all. (AND ESPECIALLY ME) **************************************************

LOL I am grateful, please don't get me wrong..... and we will have fun..... but hey, is it wrong to wanna be as close to that SEXY MF'er as I can be? So sue me!!!

Some people just don't understand that front row difference...I've been there a couple of times and there's nothing like it...I've also been screwed over by "the closest seats to the stage" I think that they'll be alot of people complaining because I bet the promoter screws over the members of the Club...I saw it happen to friends at the Hawaii show...Hopefully, most people are happy but than people like U and I might be upset being 10th row surrounded by a bunch of Purple Rain Posers...It'll be fun never the less...

Actually i was just kidding and thereby tryin to make the point you did. It was kinda irritating to watch peop in here thinking they have more rights than other fans. Actually if u think of it...peop who never saw him should have more rights to be up close. I think its the right thing to do for the NPGMC to reserve a section just for clubmembers. I'm sure we will figure it out so everyone can see. btw...i got a free spot on my shoulders! --- Where am I? ---
