I thought the original news release said Houston would be a stop on the tour. I bet he'll come here, and probably play the Toyota Center.

there are huge gaps in the dates of this tour...especially may-august. give it time. i'm sure they'll be announced. chicago...a huge prince fan base city...was only just announced. if houston is on the itinerary, it's only a matter of time before they announce the date. who knows...maybe they haven't even secured a venue yet in houston therefore can't give a date.

I hope a date is announced soon because when the Tour was first announced, it was on local news as well a radio that Houston was not on the list and if we wanted to see him the closest place would be Dallas.
Prince has a very strong fan base here in Houston as well (don't forget he set a record in Houston during the Purple Rain tour by playing to over 100,000 people) and there are quite a few people that are making the trip to Dallas. Most people from San Antonio and South Texas normally attend the Houston shows but will now be going to Dallas. If he does indeed come to Houston, I hope people will still attend instead of passing it up because they had already been to Dallas. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

Wrong. There were 6 shows at the Summit in Houston on the Purple Rain tour. The capacity for basketball games was 16,285. As for concerts: unless a concert is an "in the round" (360 degrees) configuration (the Purple Rain tour was a 270 degree end stage configuration) then it would be the full capacity. nusole said: gold your name should be hater
Why? Because I disagree with you? LOL nusole said: and no before you even start...the summit held 16611 for basketball games so with the court gone it held more ...i live in houston and was there so dont tell me something different
