Maybe it's good thing my Prince addiction may have gotten me fired for missing work!

I don't get a chance to check this site to often, so if someone knows what I am doing wrong. . please email me "paisleyprk@hotmail.com" and put something about the NPGMC in the subject line.. . . .THANKS!!

I got lucky . . . I am checking everyday to see if they announced a date for Philly and saw the NYC show on Monday.
I passed on the last NYC show that had Alicia Keys and I was KICKING myself. I was not passing this one up!! I almost had to bring my MOTHER!!, but I found a more interesting date! SOOOO STOKED!!

I live in NYC and bought my ticket for the Club Black show on Friday night. This morning {Monday, March 15, 2004}I read in the New York Daily Newsabout 4 people overdosing atlub Black on Sunday Morning(March 14, 2004} I was also wondering if the club would be shut by the police. Another NYC club, Sound Factory, had a similar problem about a week ago. These clubs are trying the patience of the community and the police. Let's hope Prince can get his after party gig on before anything else happens with this club

There has been no word that Club Black is closed. Actually, site admins on NPGMC have given info on other aspects of the show so I guess there is no problem with Club Black.

The following is what the site admin on NPGMC posted:

Dress code: dress nicely. No baseball caps or skullcaps. No raggedy clothes.
Will Call: 10 PM at the earliest. Doors will b at 10 pm or 11 pm. Bring a picture ID. The club member who purchased tickets is the person who needs 2 show ID.
Age: no one under 19 is permitted. Must b 21 and over 2 purchase alcoholic beverages.
Absolutely no cameras, camera phones, or recording devices of any kind.

Club Black also says no jeans or sneakers. I would go with that rather than get turned away. That would suck. I might have to go shooping for some non-raggedy clothes before the show. So much for my Raggedy Andy costume I was going to wear.

See you all there!

I hate to report bad news... Especially since I havetickets for tonight....
and I have NOT heard that the show is cancelled but.... read what happened for yourself at BLACK this weekend.... from the NY Daily News... sad

A birthday bash for a big-name disk jockey ended abruptly early yesterday when four patrons overdosed inside a revamped Hell's Kitchen dance club, witnesses said.
"The party's over. The cops are outside," deejay Jonathan Peters told hundreds of revellers inside Black NYC, the cavernous club formerly known as Exit, witnesses said.

Peters became famous spinning music at the Sound Factory - the notorious club raided last week by cops and federal agents who say the owner encouraged drug dealers to sell their deadly wares to draw large crowds.

Peters cut ties with the Sound Factory well before the raid and was not charged or named in the federal indictment.

Both Exit and the Sound Factory were shut down temporarily in February 2003 after undercover cops said they found "open and flagrant" drug dealing and use at the clubs.

An invitation for last night's party at Black NYC on W. 56th St. described Peters as the club's "resident DJ."

The invite, posted on the Internet, declared: "We've all been anticipating the beginning of this new era in nightlife and it's finally here."

The doors opened around 10p.m. Saturday and the party was going full tilt when four patrons collapsed around 8a.m., witnesses said.

"It was chaos," said Dawn Zolezal, 23, a student at the University of Miami who came to New York on spring break to attend Peters' party.

"Everyone was saying: 'Go Jonathan! Go Jonathan!'" she said. "We were, like, play one more song. And he was, like, 'No really, the party's over.'"

"He said something like, 'Somebody messed it all up for us.'"

One clubgoer who overdosed was taken by ambulance to Weill Cornell Medical Center, according to an FDNY spokesman. Another was treated at St.Vincent's Midtown Hospital, a paramedic said. It was unclear where the other two were treated.

A spokeswoman for Black NYC said the party was a special event and the club had yet to officially open. She declined to comment further.

The overdoses came a week after Richard Grant, 61, the owner of the Sound Factory, was arrested with his security bosses, Ronald Coffiel and Randell Rogiers, during a raid at his club.

Grant, Coffiel and Rogiers were arraigned under a federal statute that makes it a crime to provide a safe haven for drug dealers. All three pleaded not guilty.
