Minneapolis date? According to this Star Trib article, Prince is planning a MPLS date in June.
I assumed with all the open dates in May, that he would be playing here before then. Obviously this article isn't confirmation on a June date, but....if we do the math... Does him playing on or near his birthday in June signal something special happening? I know, I know..he doesn't celebrate his birthday (or so he says), but all the celebrations have been in June. It could be something? http://www.startribune.co...52061.html If it breaks when it bends, you better not put it in.

It actually says "dates". Makes me think maybe there is going to be some kind of Celebration because there is no way Prince will sell out an arena twice (here) without some help from the out-of-towners.

I agree...
but I wouldn't think he would have any kind of celebration. By June, he will have already have hit several US cities, with presumably Europe coming soon after. The Celebration wouldn't gather nearly as many fans, since many will get their fix seeing him in their own city. I still presume something exciting might happen. Maybe one gig at Xcel Center and a special gig for NPGMC members at First Ave? haha...I can dream, right? If it breaks when it bends, you better not put it in.

Ex-Moderator | Even with the tour here and abroad, I still think the celebreation would pull in enough people for it to be worth it. Many of the fans at the last few traveled here from all over the world for all 3. 7 nights of music at Paisley Park can be quite a draw. |

I agree, with how well the 3rd year went, so many would do anything to get a chance to be part of that again...i know I would!
