Presale question...for those who have already ordered...

When you buy tix through the club, are you given your seat assignment at that point or just "closest to the stage?"

Peace,

Matthew

no seat locations are given. people are reading way too much into that, i think, and worrying too much. if you've got 10th row on the floor does it matter if you find out now or when you get there? your ass is still gonna be in the 10th row lol

i think the reason for not telling seat location is to even further deter scalping. who knows though...

According to the Paisley Park Moderators, the seats are not assigned until they give the complete list of member names to the promoter and the promoter sends them off to the venue to be printed. The venue then allocates the tickets to the individual will call envelopes. I imagine it is less a matter of ticket scalping (being you only get 2 tickets AND you have to pick them up in person the night of the show) and more along the lines of avoiding the headaches that come with having to determine that info at the time of the onsale.
If this is true NPGMC has no control over the allocation of seats to members, and it does not matter who bought their member tickets first.

I work on the venue level and typically the tickets are allocated alphabetically, as the names are printed on the purchase report that comes straight from the NPGMC (via promoter). But, as we all know, when it comes to Prince... all bets are off.

ok, so before y'all get your panties twisted, let's just wait and see where we're sitting. we'd all love to find out we're sitting in 1st row center seats but we are not going to know until we get to our respective venue. let's just anticipate a great show rather than worry about seats. it's rare that i'm this positive about a prince happening (lord knows they can bust things up!) but it has all been pretty seamless so far. the site claims we will have the best seats. hopefully, they are not stretching the truth, lol. honestly, though, if you found out today that you were in the 16th row as opposed to the 5th row what difference would it make? either way your ass would be dancing in the 16th row. and we will still be trying to rush the stage, even if we are in the 5th row, lol.
