Agreed on that.
Prince is a thief. I saw his Valentines Show last weekend. Total flop. If I wanted to see a blues band I would have gone accross the street to Johnny Lee Hookers club. I paid for Prince. The ticket said Prince. They advertised Prince. What I got was a backup band, some blonde girl sing American Idol style, and Prince for a few "owoohowhuh's". What a bore and a waste of money. I've seen him 3 times in the last decade and everytime get worse than the last. I wouldn't trust that dude again

I wouldn't trust that dude again If you weren't moved by Shhh, DMSR, Girls and Boys, Controversy, and Adore, then it may be time to save your money when he passes through town again. He was, to borrow a phrase, in rare form. On the other hand... For me, personally, his love affair with brass leaves me yawning at 3am. His catalogue is DEEEEEP, yet I have to listen to a cover medley of 70's disco hits - great hits, mind you, and I'm old enough to know, but the highlights for me were seeing and hearing Prince rework his music - especially his less well travelled material. See, it's not black or white, straight or gay. He has so much music that has rarely been heard live - why digress? If it's to keep it interesting for him, then bring it on. I say, keep the Man inspired. But don't do it for me. Candy and Maceo deserve their time in the spotlight, for sure, but don't forget the real reason 99% of laid it down to be there. It was for Prince. "When they tell me 2 walk a straight line, I put on crooked shoes"
