I will be there too! It takes about 30 minutes for me to drive to State College! I am so excited! Anyone know what time we should show up at the Jordan Center? I just recently became a member, so I not real sure about what to do. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Try The Nittany Lion Inn (pretty Pricey though). Days Inn (right downtown), The Atherton Hotel, also downtown, loads of others. I use to live there, but it's been 8 yrs since I moved out of town and things have changed so much. Hope to meet you there!

Hope to see you all there. I'm going to cry! I want to go so bad; I live right outside of Philadelphia in South Jersey, and not one of my friends was willing "to drive that long" to see Prince. Like it's friggin' cross-country or something! I was so excited about going to; I thought Penn State was a lot closer.

I'm not looking to spend a hole lot of money for lodging, only because I figure I'm just going to be there for a short period of time.
I'm looking at the Sleep Inn and Super 8. (not the best, but I want to be able to hit as many tours as possible) Between the two; the trip (not including food, like I could actually eat before a concert) and the concert, total costs shouldn't exceed $120 total. **************************************************

I will be there. Coming from Atlanta, GA. My best friend lives in Allentown, and I have not visited him in four years. A great opportunity to hang out with an old friend and to see my favorite artist in concert for the 5th time.

okay guys.....Here's the deal.
I've org-noted the peeps that have posted about going to this show. Some are staying at the Days Inn (nice place) The Nittany Lion Inn (very nice place), the super8 is very new (never been there) and the others must be as well because I have no idea where they are! I think the general concensus is that we meet b4 the show and I'd like to go out after as well if anyone else is up for that. There are tons of places to hang out in State College. It's definitely a college town and there are about 63,000 students there ( I think. that number may be much higher these days). In any event, it's a great place, small town and lots to do. Well, lots of bars anyway State College has changed so much. Those of you that haven't been there in a while are in for a huge surprise. If y'all are up to getting together b4 hand, that's great with me. The time depends upon when we plan to storm the will call window for our tix! I've only recently became a member of the club, so I have no idea when we should get to the Jordan Center. Let's decide on a time.... 6pm? since doors open at 8 (or maybe 5pm ) Where we go depends upon whether or not you want to eat b4 the show or not. Places close to the Center are Hooters (not a vote from me , but I will go if you insist), and damn it, I forget the names of the other bars right near that one. I am rambling! and you will find that I tend to do that quite often! Just tell me if you want to have a bite to eat as well as a few drinks or not and I will decide for the group or I will pitch out ideas for ya, okay? NOW I WILL STOP RAMBLING! Di

Doors Open at 6pm and the concert is supposed to start at 7:30. So... if we meet somewhere at around 3 or 4 that would work... yes? Hang out, get a bite to eat, drink, socialize... then head over to the venue. But where should we meet? If there is a place like TGIFriday's near that might work well. They usually have a large bar with tables and stools that we could congregate and monopolise. How does this all sound?

The meeting time is good for me. Only thing is is that TGIFriday's isn't even close to the Jordan Center. I have a great idea and this should work well for all of you if you are up for bar food, not a fine dining experience. There is a little place very near the venue (downtown) that serves food and drinks. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's pretty nice inside. I don't know the name of the place though because it's been years since I've partied in town. I have to go to State College next week sometime, so I will look to see what it's called and let you know then. Who's up for that? 3pm at this little bar/resturant right at the edge of town on College Ave. I will get the name, addy and phone number for you next week. ps....if any of you need me to pick you up from the hotels let me know. I have a delta 88 (don't laugh ) and I can fit about 4-5 people. I am even willing to make 2 trips if need be. "cause I'm cool like that" Okay I'll check that out and post it next week. Di
