it's sad. whenever we want to get tickets, we go through this slow, waiting, hit or miss trial.

and ticketmaster is the only place to get tickets??? i think it's time for some entrepreuner to challenge them, put up another online ticket system.

How is it possible that tickets were sold out within less than 1 minute? At exactly 12pm, I accessed ticketmaster.com [then repeatedly trying for 20 minutes] and received this message:

There were no tickets available that matched your request
There are several things you can try:

Change the quantity of tickets you are requesting.


If you selected a specific seat section, switch to "Best Available".


If you are unable to find tickets, be sure to check back often. As the date of the event nears, many times a limited number of tickets may be released.


If you entered a promotional code, check that the code is valid for the ticket price and criteria you selected.

Don't bother - talked to them on the phone. No more tickets. They must have released like 10 tickets to TM! also called House of Blues - sold out.

I think that they'll be alot of people trying to get tickets out front of the show, since most of us didn't get throught the member sale or the non existant TicketMaster sale...I'm sure that this will be the hottest ticket after the Grammys...

Yeah. If you're really insistent you can hustle up scalpers out front. I, personally, ain't lookin' to pay more than $90. Releases to the box office might go down too, so if you're down there hang close to the box office.

If I get restless, I might do this as Plan B.

Ok that MJB show just moved out to 2/7 Sat nite. Somethin' gonna happen cuz it's billed: "And Special Friends" and a whole lotta folks is in town for the awards show.

What's going on is presales to subscribers.
Sometime in between the scheduling of the date and the actual public announcement, sales to suscribers are announced and they are given a short itme period to buy tix before the public announcement. The venue cherishes these folks much more than the artist's subscribers and allocate a goood portion to of tix to them. Unfortunatley, a lot of dummy subscribers are merely ticket brokers in disguise.
