2ND SHOW REPORT

Just got back from Vegas. I'll tell u up front, I was expecting a greatest hits show and thats what we got. Damn it was hot. I'm not sure about the exact set list but he opened with SOTT. First his band came out and started to play and after a few minutes Prince walks out all calm and the place went wild! He had the audience sing along with him and then went into The Question of U which then led into The One then back to The Question of U. It sounded good. He also played Let's Work, which was my favorite part of the nite. He also played U got the Look, Nothin' Compares 2 U and of course Purple Rain at the end.
At one point he had his horn players which were Maceo, Greg and Candy, follow him threw the crowd. That was pretty cool. He called up some dancers during Take Me With U. There was one white dude who kept on trying to do the splits. He was all dancin' off beat when Prince came behind him and started to imitate him. Too funny!. And then there's all his facial expressions. Couple of times he just leaned up against the speakers watching his band play.
The House of Blues was a small venue so everyone had a good view. Not to crowded on the floor. Rad was pretty cool. Prince had her sing part of The One. He also has a new keyboard player that is hella big. He came up front and sang Soulman. All and all, it was an upbeat performance. He played from about 2:30 to about 4:30 or 5. Cant remember exactly.
Befor the show there was a lady taking everybodies name down from the club. I dont know why she did that. They let all the club members in first but rite after the general public. It wasn't very organized. But it did turn out ok. Thats it!

ATTENTION: THIS IS NOT WRITTEN BY THEBLUEANGEL...THIS IS SWIPED FROM THE NPGMC AND IF THE NPGMC MEMBER WOULD LIKE ME TO POST HIS/HER NAME ON HERE, I WOULD RESPECT THOSE WISHES.

"Ok...where can I start...well let me start by saying that I don't post setlists..i'm sure they are someone else will post it..but I will mention songs.

Secondly...for all those that didn't attend...I'M SO SORRY!!! YOU ALL MISSED SEEING PRINCE IN RARE FORM!!! I attended both nights but I have to say that both of the performances were off the chain...but Friday nite for me was far funkier than the Saturday show even though he played many cuts that I wanted to hear live..such as The ? of U on saturday...LOVED IT!!! and The love we Make...on friday...can u say oooweee
eee!!!

You know what...

...I'm not going to finish this now because I am still exghausted and I just can't do the concerts justice...I will post tomorrow when I can think...3 hours of sleep in a 48 hours period just isn't enough to deal with the energy that the NPG puts out...

For right now..I'll end with this...If this is a beginning to what is going to go down this year...I suggest that everyone buy a nice pair of comfortable shoes...find a nice airy shirt..and get ready to get your groove on because there is no way u will be able to stand still...and make sure u get enough rest..u are gonna need it to deal with what Prince and the NPG has in store...trust me...
No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Sex is not love. Love is not sex. Putting words in other people's mouths will only get you elected.

Need more sleep than coke or methamphetamine.

Wow, how funny that you're review is so different from what most people felt that I talked to after/during the shows...and the lady (Vera) helped with keeping a line list so yo ass didn't have to wait in line all day...and what do U mean "they let in all the club members first rite after the general public."??? U have no idea how much work some people do/did 2 help out the members...else we would have been screwed...It would be cool if everyone had to have their online id printed on their shirt, because I would love 2 see how U talk out of yo ass...

I'm sorry, bad choice of words. YES, she did let members in 1st. What happened was that they let like 10 members in then stopped the line. Then another 10 or so then stopped the line. Mind u, it was after 1 am now. Then, all of a sudden they let the rest of the members go in with the general public rite behind us. We had to rush a little just 2 get up front. All in all everything was cool cuz most ppl started standing around the bar instead of in front of the stage. By the way, did u attend the show(s)? Chill out my friend. The whole experience was cool. And it was my 1st time using the club to get into the show. I'm sure she worked hard to help the members cuz it was clear she was stressed. What I'm trying 2 say is that I loved the fact that I'm a member. The benefits are a Plus! Does this now clear things up as 2 how it was?

I made the mistake of wearing heels to the Saturday night show. I'm already looking for new boogy shoes, cause I agree, if this is a glimpse of things to come...Brace yourselves...It's gonna be a wild, funky ride!
I'm firmly planted in denial
