Then we got cut off before they could rub it in my face that Prince showed up! Thanks for thinking of me though guys! He calls me "Holi" cuz he says everyday w/ me is like a Holiday...

i didn't think he'd EVER play that. who did dr dre's rap I think it was one of the backup singers for Maceo or that really large guy. I can't remember...it was so loud and I've never been that close to Prince so I was too busy about how fine he still is.

Ummm...not to good with reviews...Prince is still fine had on a beige suit with some low-heeled boots...he put one near the end of stage and some lucky women (or man?) got to rub it. I couldn't see. Also an errant bra flew on to the stage Maceo had been performing for about an hour maybe...f/Greg Boyer on trombone and Morris Hayes on keys. The NPG band, then Prince was spotted upstairs enjoying the show for awhile. Maceo started introducing Prince's band 1 by 1, first Candy D., then Renato, then John B,then Rad...by this time those of us in front had spotted Takumi (sp?) and I was about to break my neck trying to figure out which end of stage Prince was going to come in. He and Rhonda came on at about the same time then the already loud noise became deafening. He did "Musicology" which was unrecognizable (by me at least) until the chorus due to the noise level. Next was a medley of "No Diggity" by Blackstreet. As usual, Prince was all over the stage worked things like a master, etc. At the end, he did a little "Prince-ly" look like the end of Purple Rain where he turned around with those sexy eyes and ...oh lawd. Go to the NPGMC site and check out the musicology room. The samples in that room are the clips from the song. The horns, the drums and the "Keep the party movin'" sample are all very prominent. Kinda reminds me of Pretty Man a little. I didn't think I'd like it live as much as I did... it KICKED AZZZ!!!

Sorry Rebeka, but that review sucks. The writer clearly isn't aware of Prince in any way.
Peace. G. "He's a musician's musician..."

Peace. G. How does that review suck??? I thought it was great! Although he didn't mention every band member of Prince's that took the stage, he knew about "Musicology". Anyways, it was a Maceo show, and that's what the review focused on, the amazing, underrated.. Maceo Parker.
