Just a thought for those going to the two Hawaiian Island gigs next week.

Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers are performing three gigs on Maui at the Maui Arts Center (Dec 14), on Kauai Pavillion (Dec 16) on Kauai and at the Pipeline Cafe on Dec. 17.

I know Ziggy is on Kauai, but wouldn't it be interesting if Prince does anything with Ziggy? I mean, what if Prince and the NPG happen to set up for a post-Honolulu gig at the Pipeline. After Ziggy gets done on Kauai, he hops over on a jet and then drops by late at night.

Prince and Ziggy say hello and jump into a reggae-ish version of Blue Light. That's be cool.

Prince will be at Pipeline but I really don't want 2 see Ziggy up on stage...I want 4 the gang 2 fly back from LA (Family Jamm) and all just jam 2gether...This would be the greatest...Continue the Family Jamm out here in Hawaii!!

It's documented in the DMSR book, basically, Bob Marley met Prince beofre he died during Prince's Dirty Mind period (where he he was going through the bikini briefs and legwarmers stage). Bob was convinced of meeting Prince through his management because he was told that Prince was a genius, boy wonder, etc, etc. But when he saw Prince in his undies, it didn't go down too good with Bob's Jamaican homophobic upbringing, thought Prince was a "Butty Boy", so the story goes (paraphrasing)
