starts with Musicology...this went ON & ON & ON for about,what felt like 10 minutes or so.
started,stopped,band went away...came back,played on.

& it happened...here's a clue:

it started with that ONAlive Peach groove,right away i knew what was coming!
when it finally hit the turnaround & main riff...the place went CRAZY!!!

also ...chance howard took over lead vocals for a blazingly funky version of No Diggity.
the show closed with a funky-ass version of WhentheSaintsGoMarchingIn (also played at yesterdays sndcheck)

all night (same as last nights main show & 2nite's main show...the *SOTT* "OOO WEEE OOOH!...OOOH!!!" chant went ON & ON & ON... its still ringing in my ears...)

lemme say it str8 up!: MUSICOLOGY iS THE SHIT!
get ready cuz it's coming baby!

i dont have the xact time of when the metr gig started or finished...i was 2 busy having BIG FUN!

all i can say is...this night cant b topped unless brings it hard 4 another aftershow.

gotta step...but i will b back on the Org,NPGMC & PARC hopefully 2day sometime at a net cafe with more time.

oh & tuesday night he just showed up at the club & danced & joked with the crowd,being funky for 30mins or so.

best part is...i know a guy who bootlegged the main show,...
& he knows a guy who bootlegged the aftershow!

Anyone notice the vid cam running on the side of the stage??? I hope it's not just for his home video collection.

Musicology, then to Brick House back to Musicology - awesome awesome song. This night was just too much for words!
The whole group went off stage twice as if that was it and the whole place erupted! I couldn't stop screaming - i don't know when I'll get my voice back.
We knew it was all over when the DJ came back on but oh my god - that was so worth it!!! He made us wait 2 hours - they were saying "12:30 start", he ended up coming out after 2! I think everyone forgot how frustrated they were though as soon as they saw him.

I know my post is all over the place but I'm just too excited...

And to think I almost didn't go in when they were telling us $70... I would never have forgiven myself

BTW: The sound was really really bad but I didn't care! I don't think anyone did - place was going crazy!

No Diggity is one FUnky song. Way cool..

I think I just saw the dawn...
And the suns coming up here too so either way i'm right

p looked like he was loving the night, like he was earlier in the night. i cant believe us aussie saw him in an amazing aftershow!!

Fucking awesome shit (even though the sound was alittle loud and distorted).

Musicology was the fucking bomb live. i dont know how it will sound on record but in the live situation it ROCKED!

I dont know why people say that (in describing the song) it sounds like The Work. It doesnt to my ears.

Some of you guys are going to wet your pants but to me the driving beat and bottom end reminded my of Return of the Bump Squad and also reminded me a little of Everlasting Now. But different than those of course.

BTW, I'm almost sure that after Musicology he sang part of another new song because the lyrics were different.

Also, Peach morphed at one stage into The Work although it was more that he sang the lyrics to The Work over the music to Peach (the music that was in the It Aint Over version).

No Diggity was sensational! Prince sang the chorus and played keyboards during much of the song.

When the Saints was cool too. He made that song funky as hell!! You may think that is impossible but he did.

The NIGHT ROCKED!!

forgot to add was that his wife to the side of the stage holding the camera?

my girlfriend said she saw him walk off with her holding hands after purple rain last night, she was sitting on the side of the stage. while i was in the front row!

That was Mani? (I saw him kiss her on the cheek and I said to the person next to me "Lucky girl!") So it was for their home movie collection then. She left the camera sitting on top of a box most of the time, so it would be a crap film anyway.

The extra $200 was for the privilige of being allowed to run up to the front once the show started (instead of having to stay in your seats) plus party pies, hot dogs, some soft drinks, a chance to mingle with other VIPs after the soundcheck, and ONA live 3 CD box, and they gave us some posters too. Worth $200?

Hey, did anyone see Prince's shoes last night at the Metro? I wonder who they belonged to? They were black platform thongs which looked a few sizes too big. I was sure he was going to trip over in them.

As I agree with Josh this show went off!

I was so close I could reach out touch Prince's manicured feet when he pulled his pants up and made a funky face while showing us his FOOT! Too god damn funky!

Mani was stage right filming with a handicam...

I wonder if the filming continued back at the hotel room?

hey every1!! the aftershow was a total freakout. I cant believe he played brick house and musicology is F*#?ing awesome. Willing 2 do the work? Damn straight we r! And how was that rendition of peach!!! we were so damn close 2 him when he was on stage and I'll never 4get when he came down off stage 4 a few seconds and was even closer. I had diamond seats wednesday night and im not a member of npgmc YET!(but i will be soon) and i got straight in2 the aftershow(they couldn't keep me out if they wanted 2) That sexy gal with the long brown hair and the black short skirt that was on stage with prince at laver arena was next 2 me at the metro and i asked her about talking 2 prince b4 the show and she said he was very talkative and a happy kinda guy! (if u read this sexy gal email me georgebadmedicine@iprimus.com.au) Im dying now that i didnt pay the $1000 4 the intimate experience.
