Help needed for Melbourne

I arrive in melbourne at 10:45 am on the day of the concert, my friend will already have arrived and wants to meet me in town. its too early to go to Rod Laver and we want to have look around the city.

Can someone please give me a good central location that is serviced by the skybus from the airport where he and I could meet.

much appreciation.

I think the Skybus finishes at Spencer Street train station which is one of the 5 main city train loop stations.

You should try and meet where the bus finishes. From there you can catch the trams that will take you all around the city.

Catch the city circle tram (the brown/burgundy ones), it's free and has a recorded commentary of sites/sights along the way.

Looks like they have changed the Tram route extending it to the docklands but you can still catch it after walking a small distance.

All the details are here

Lust, when you arrive in the city you may want to go to The Phoenix bar, corner of Flinders and Exhibition Streets. This has been organised by orgers and NPGMC-ers as the pre-show meet-up venue.

12 noon onwards.
In a couple of hundred years historians may discover that Prince's lyrics were written by Christopher Marlowe.

Depends on what tickets you have. I have Diamond tix and need to pick them up at 3:30PM. I'll probably be at the Pheonix at around 2pm and others have said they'll be there from 1pm-ish.
