PLEASE CONSIDER - anyone thinking of making travel plans to attend this: the Coronavirus is spreading rapidly within the United States, making it very likely, that this event will get cancelled or at least postponed. Check all major news outlets for context and precedence.

The timing sucks. Was definitely going to go to this, as I'll be in NY from London at that time. But impossible to commit now, unless they offer refunds to those who are unable to travel.

CANCELLED UNTILL FALL

Dear Friends,

It is with much regret that we inform you that Celebration 2020 has been postponed from June to fall 2020 due to Coronavirus concerns.

After consultation with our local health officials, and in accordance with Minnesota Health Department and CDC guidelines, we have determined that postponing this special event to later in the year is a necessary part of the aggressive efforts to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus in our community. Despite how disappointing this is for all of us, we are committed to doing our part.

More information on the new dates for Celebration 2020 will be released soon. Feel free to contact us with any questions or for refunds at info@paisleypark.com.

Thanks for your support of Celebration and we look forward to seeing you soon at Paisley Park.

They will likely be shutting down regular tours also. I went on Saturday, because they found an old stash of 3121 and Xpectation shirts, the War cassettes, Days of Wild live CDs, etc.

This pandemic could impact the viabilty of Paisley Park. We need to try to support it once the pandemic is over. Paisley Park/Estate needs to meet us halfway and make the Celebration and other key events accessible to fans that are not wealthy and by giving fans access to exclusive vault material that will induce us to come in droves. Many fans have seen the building and the artifacts, so that won't keep us coming. Seeing former associates artists that are past their prime also won't keep us coming. Exclusive vault access will keep us coming.

That part. I can usually cover flight and accomodations but not to attend an money-wringing event.
