MORRIS DAY/ SHEILA E CONCERT Hi Friends--
Earlier in the summer I bought tix for Morris/Sheila for a show in Atlantic City.
I had forgotten about it /nont realized until til mid-week and it just crept up on. me. Wound up having a crazy week and other committments, including today..I'm in Philly so it is a 1 hour 45 min drive to this show tonight, and quite difficult for me to make it.
Anyway, it's tough for me to make it and rearrange some things for today...
Has anyone seen them recently? Thoughts? Worth jumping through hoops to get there today? Just want some feedback befofe I decide either try to go or sell my tix..If the show was tomorrow, I would still go.
TIA! [Edited 9/20/19 7:41am] [Edited 9/20/19 7:42am]

If you've never seen Morris Day and The Time or Sheila E then you should go if you can find a way to make it.

Just reporting back. Based on the whole craziness of last week, my husband couldn't make it so I took a friend..non-Prince, Sheila, Time fan but knows a few songs...She had a great time and loved it.
So glad I went. I had planned to like Morrs/Tine more, but walked out really enjoying both. Sheila did a great job, and seemed more in the' I'm grateful and love one another mood.' She interacted nicely with the guests and genuinely seemed glad to be there. I loved her backing band and singers. Looks beautiful for 62 up close and taleneted. She nailed it all. Walked and performed in the audience
Morris/Time was also great, as I knew it would be. Tight musically....and he sounded great.
This is silly..But his guatarist (Ruffin) annoyed me. I shouldn't even say anything..lol..But envision the scene of a performer constantly having to say/scream, , ("Atlantic City, we love you' or some variation of nonsense of that type of thing). But it was constant. I had a 4th row seat....and most times everyone up dancing.....
There was a security guard, who seemed to dislike his job, but felt ultra-important. Being a stonface a** to anyone and everyone-who was just trying to dance/have a good time. No misbehavior of patrons. . Imagine a milenial in a job he hates (beard included) and worse most likely a show with music type he hates....raining on people wanting to funk out, and be a little closer or even dance a little in the aisle. He practically pulled these 2 older ladies down back off the stage (Morris had called up people to dance and they were at the end of the line and squeezed in...he practically pulled them off..in fact he pulled 1 off. ) I wondered if Morris saw it bc at the end, he gave the one lady that was pulled back down, the handkerchief. There was no reason to not let her go up really. She made it on the stage, and she was probably 70. I am definitely glad I went I would have regretted today. Sorry for the irrelevant facts...lol
Seems he is touring at times with various groups like SOS Band, etc But...for. me..I kept missing Sheila or even MD/Time everywhere..so I am glad. What a fantastic time it must have been to see all of those guys (Prince, Sheila E and Time) back in those days.
BTW..if you are always running late like me, get there on time. I got there at 8:10 and Sheila had alread started.
Thanks for the push on going.. [Edited 9/21/19 8:50am]
