As an extension of #PrinceCelebration2019, the four-day event honoring the life and legacy of Prince, Paisley Park will again be presenting an exclusive off-site concert event titled PRINCE: In Concert on the Big Screen. The concert event will take place at The Armory in downtown Minneapolis on Friday, April 26 at 8pm.

The concert will feature newly remastered and never-before-released audio and video of Prince accompanied live on the Armory stage by an all-star ensemble of musicians who performed alongside the icon throughout his storied career. The live concert experience will showcase Prince in his inimitable sound and style, highlighting the incendiary energy he brought to each performance.

Attendance to the Armory concert is included in each Celebration 2019 ticket. VIP ticket holders to Celebration will also have the opportunity to attend an exclusive Dance Party at The Armory, hosted by DJ Kiss following the conclusion of the live concert.

OK, so my post in the Celebration 2019 thread was snipped within 5 minutes!! I thought it was relevant but.....

OK. Here I am in the proper thread.

Tickets are now on sale for the Armory show. It is all assigned seats which is different for the Armory as almost all shows there are general admission stand up concerts.

I got a ticket for $49 up on the side in the balcony. Main floor seats are $199, $125 and $99. Looks like all price levels are available at this time. I'm choosing not to do the entire Celebration this year (did it the past two and does not look real different this time for that much cash) but I did want to see this. See if it is different footage than last year. etc. Should be fun!!

So will the musicians play along with the movie, or is it just the movie?

I wasn't emotionaly ready for the first two Celebrations. So, this will be my very first time visting Paisley Park and Minneapolis. I've decided to go the GA Pass route to have that extra money for flight, lodging, car rental and stuff. I'm super excited and looking forward to all things Prince!!!

If it is the same as last year (which it sounds like it is), it will be live music played with the recording of Prince singing.

I wish they would do the celebrations around his birthday like they were when he was alive instead of the anniversary of his death.
