I've seen no write up in the papers or anything. I was there Friday night and it was a fun time. I bought a cheap seat in the balcony with an obstructed view knowing that there is a small standing rail up there I could hang at. Worked fine and I had a great view of the show. When I got to my table I found a CD sized picture of Shelby sitting on the table. Thought "cool" and put it in my pocket only later finding out that if you got one of these you won a prize! Mine said Tee on it so I got a free T-Shirt after the show!
A bit before 7:00 I took my place by the railing and watched the crowd. Soon Larry Graham and his family arrived and sat a a table a few feet away on the balcony. Promptly at 7:00 Shelby hit the stage and started off with "Superpower." After that she slowed it down for awhile playing more mellow songs from her album plus the one Prince song she did which was "Money Don't Matter 2 Night." Before long she started picking up the tempo again anf funking stuff up! At one point she went "off-script" and had the band improvise a bit of "Yes We Can Can." Then she gave the mic she was using to a techie and went to another mic, after a bit she said "My microphone disappeared, wonder what that can be about?" and then Larry Graham's deep voice boomed out. I looked over and the (cordless) mic was in Larry's hand and he was speaking from his balcony table. Soon Shelby asked if he could come and do a song and he said "Well, I suppose but I don't just wanna sing and I need a bass." Of course one was brought out and he said "Well, look at that! That looks like my bass!" Soon the band started kicking it and he ran downstairs strapped on the bass and they did "Release Yourself" It was FUNKY! At one point Larry, Shelby and Adrian Crutchfield on sax left the stage and wandered out through the crowd, up the stairs on one side of the balcony, accross it and down the other side, all while playing with wireless setups. Later in the set there was another special guest: Jellybean Johnson who ripped it up on guitar for a song. Set was about 90 minutes long. Fun show! [Edited 8/5/18 10:47am]

Nice write up sonicfreak. I went Friday too. Fun show. I went to Paisley Park After Dark last night and Shelby, Adrian, and her band came. Shelby sang Chelsea Rodgers and hung out and danced the rest of the night. TRUE BLUE
