Favorite afterhshow or club gig you attended & why I love all of them for different reasons but the one that stood out more recently was the 2011 LA Troubador show.
I found out about the show the same day & plucked a ticket online while at work then got my ass in my car & drove all the way down from the SF Bay Area
His guitar was on fire that night & i was right in front of his mic, that + the size of the venue made it feel like I was in his living room. The haunting version of Colonized Mind which included a beautiful guitar/Mike phillips horn dual. She's always in my hair w/ a wicked guitar coda that had unexpected notes played at every turn which transformed it into a whole new masterpiece. The duet of Waiting in Vain w/ Andy Allo was cool & everyone in attendance thinking she was Espreanza Spaulding..
Anyone know if a recording of this show exists (not asking where to get it of course...)?

A few come to mind. I attended a couple of aftershows at the 3121 restaurant in Vegas. They were so organic, intimate and spontaneous. I also attended one in DC in the early 2000’s and he did a version of Johnny that was cool.

i have only been to one, but it was a good one. The new power trio, at the o2, which has been heavily bootlegged. I always remember my wife knackered sat in the corner of the venue wanting to leave. I refused of course [Edited 5/18/18 12:45pm]

The 1st time I saw him in 93 my girlfriend at the time didn't drink enough water & complained of feeling faint then wanted to lve. I ran out brought her back water just as P was doing his epic solo from SAIMH , needless to say I was pissed.

I have been to a 6 aftershows/club gigs (and to on by Larry Graham where Prince joined him) and all of them were special but my favourite one was the very first one in the Viennese club U4 in 1987. I was still in my teens and it was only my 2nd Prince show and I was front row center right in front of him and at that time that was something I would have never thought I might ever experience - seeing him play in such an intimate venue being just a few centimeters away from him. [Edited 5/19/18 14:37pm] With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....
