NFL Tribute Tonight - Sheila E, The Revolution, The Time I haven't seen this posted anywhere else yet, sorry if it has been already.
I saw Sheila E. in concert here in the Detroit area on Saturday, and she mentioned performing tonight in Minneapolis for a musical tribute to Prince. It airs on the NFL channel (check your local listings). According to her FB page, she will play at 8pm Minneapolis time.
And, I just saw that The Revolution will play at 9:20pm Minneapolis time tonight too!
Setting my DVR to record, the "info" on the cable guide just lists "musical tribute". Hope it's what I said above.

Well, she retweeted something from PeopleofPaisleyPark pocking fun of the Revolution because workers had to set up 10 space heaters for them ...
"@peopleofpaisleypark Funny how and played in the freezing cold and we’ve been watching workers set up no less than 10 space heaters for The Revolution for the past 30 minutes while we’re standing here freezing solid! Get out here and play the damn songs! " |

Sounds like Sheila's ass got really chapped in the cold. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

Check out Facebook Prince groups. There were numerous people who attended that did live feeds. The Rev sounded pretty good, but there were sound problems I believe. Thought it was the feed but read elsewhere there were problems. I didn't envy those people though, it looked like it was freezing out there. why do people enjoy creating conflict?
They get a FREE show ...
I'm so happy they all came together via Jimmy & Terry to do this. Wish it wasn't in that Minneapolis cold, they could have cut loose more

This photo what song did they just perform? Or was that the end of "My Name Is Prince"?
Because on ESPN the tv cut away from this part.

It's a FREE show, by 9:15pm the temp was dropping fast They were on the stage until 10pm
They all should have had heat
I don't want to get into any back in forth. I just want to enjoy what they all did for this event.

You are right they all should have had heat. Like out at Paisley or inside the Excel center. Shameful

Morris Day and The Time, Sheila E, The Revolutionand Cross Section of other Prince Assocs should have been Super Bowl Halftime Show!
Somebody mention on my instagram page that from Morris Day and The Time and Sheila E performance last night for the opening of Super Bowl media that they should have been the Super Bowl Halftime Show since its in Minneapolis and P is gone. What you all think? And especially since JT ripped off Janets breast patch and had half of her tit showing before! LOL hahaha

No way was I going to stand out there in 8 degree weather while they sang one or two songs. And it would suck to be waiting in the freezing cold a half hour while the Revolution set up heaters. Paisley Park is in your heart

Nah, most people watching would be like who the heck is this?
not really, promo prior to the 1/2 time show would inform people
and the song list played would have too
There are a lot of acts that perform that I have no idea who they are
In Minneapolis and as a nod to Prince/tribute people would have gotten it |

It is open and they are having a Super Bowl Party and the Justin thing. The management could have put in another event with these bands and maybe got it on T.V.
Another missed opportunity to bring in some dollars and no one would have to freeze their butts offs.
